Gone to Oldham on loan. Good luck to him.
another one gone good luck nazon so that's defo 7 gone now marshall next I guess then mason ?
Oldham are in a real relegation scrap just now so hopefully he will get more game time. Makes sense for him to keep developing and it's a step up from L2.
Strange one, why not just leave him at Coventry?
Their takeover is happening today, plus they're in League One - albeit at the bottom of it. I suppose they want someone who can score goals and dig them out of the mire.
That had crossed my mind Rhos but Oldham play at a slightly better level which is about the only reason I can think of that makes sense.
Coventry’s manager said Wolves, Coventry and even Duckens’ agent wanted him to stay throughout the season, but he wanted to test himself at a higher level.
Fair play IMO.
Can't knock him for wanting to improve.
Not seen that, certainly a higher (and windier) level at Oldham.
Good luck to the Duck, hope he performs well for his new team.
We've gone 9 posts on a Duck thread without a pun.
What the hell is going on guys????????
How the duck has that happened? I have no idea.
I thought he'd be more inclined to head to a Southern club at this time of year
Just trying to think of some fresh and original ones.
It's 'kin 'ard..
I know its hard. What can you do to make something out of Nazon?!!
We've all gone totally quackers
I'm plucked if I can think of any new ones
Can't believe Walsall did want him
He's qualiy L1
Was thinking he may get a chance in the first team squad if we dont sign another forward. Plenty of players gone now. Good luck to him.
Being brutally honest he ain't good enough .
A bizarre left field signing .He will leave ,he won't have played and we will get next to nothing in return .
A shame. He does seem to have something about him from what I have seen albeit playing in league 2. Lets see what he does in league one.
Unsure of directions to his new club, he phoned their secretary and asked “how do I get to Oldham”.
“3 glasses of wine and a bag of chips” was her reply!
You can imagine the versions of that joke when they nearly signed Ched Evans!!
If he does alright at Oldham, can see us selling him in the summer to a decent League One club. Don't think he'll get much chance here at Wolves.
Good thing you don’t work for the club then considering they recently gave him a new contract.
How is that working out for Jack Price?
With a view to a sale no doubt .We gave Evans a new contract too, sent him out on loan and then flogged him.It is all about a club protecting its interests rather than a mark of how good they are.
Come back in 12 months and tell me I am wrong about whether he will make it here because he won't.If I am wrong I will apologise unreservedly.
I wish him well but we have moved on now.
I never said he’ll play for us. But the people at our club clearly think it’s a sensible investment. If he does well at League One, we will most likely have made money from the signing.
But what are we going to get realistically?
Oldham haven't got a pot to **** in so all in all what will his signing and contract extension have achieved?
I genuinely wish him well but in the brutal world of football realities we have moved on .
I think we were beyond him when he signed, if you know what i mean. Strange signing.
Oldham completed a takeover literally today.
Also, you’ll have to ask the people making decisions at the club why we signed him and then gave him a contract extension. They’ll know more than any of us.
They've put him higher up the pecking order so it may increase the bill if and when he gets sold. Having flown the nest from Coventry it's fair to say he hasn't mallardjusted to the English game so moving up a league will feather his progress. It's not as daffy an idea as first suggested.
I think you're being brutally obtuse.
He came for free. Had a 6 month trial, did well for U/23, had a contract extension, loaned to Covetry and did well. He's a hero in his country and is a regular international.
Even if we sold him for a grand it would have been worth the punt.
Sure, I would be gobsmacked if he's around to play in the premier league, but you would be the last person that I would have thought would become so blinkered as to think that a lad trying to carve a career in another country is bizarre.
It's not. And Wolves have lost nothing.
If anything they have shown they're willing to give chances to unknowns. What's wrong with that?
He could be a Drogba. Or he could just, like hundreds and thousands others, steal a living in the lower leagues.
I'm not prescient enough though to say which yet.
We really need to stop crowing on about this as we are beginning to look tits to some .
A l’orange a taxi for you Papper...
Not blinkered at all merely realistic
Seriously? I'm not trying to pick a fight, I wouldn't dare.
But is it realistic to say it's bizarre to give a lad a chance in English football?
I think it's wonderful, and he hasn't disappointed us since we had NO expectations at all. None! All we did was make duck pun jokes.
If anything the Nazon saga has made me love Wolves even more.
Perhaps our different backgrounds gives us different perspectives.
I have no problem giving any player a chance ,I welcome it .My point is having had that trial they then gave him an extended contract which one would hope would lead to him pushing on and getting a chance here but we sent him out on loan ,have done it again and then realistically he will probably move on for a relative pittance without playing a game.
For me I just don't see what we will have achieved by extending his stay here when he hasn't had a chance .
I wish it would have worked out but I very much doubt it will.
