As most seemed to be in favour of donations being made with the balance of money remaining after our floral tribute to Sir Jack, two payments have so far been made on your behalf.

The first to the RAF Benevolent Fund.

Dear Mr H** and all at the Molineux Mix forum,

Thank you so much for your recent online donation of £100, in memory of the late Sir Jack Hayward. We are honoured and touched that you have thought of the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund.

We are the RAF’s leading welfare charity. We’ve been here for nearly 100 years, looking after RAF personnel, past and present, and their families. We provide assistance with a wide range of issues: from childcare and relationship difficulties to injury and disability, and from financial hardship and debt to illness and bereavement.

No one likes asking for help. So when someone does, we need to know we can respond quickly and effectively.

Last year we spent over £18m supporting over 60,000 people, including elderly veterans, many of whom have complex and long term care needs, as well personnel who are injured while serving in conflicts around the world today, and their families. However, we receive no government funding so to continue to make sure that no member of the RAF family goes without the help they need – now or in the future – we have to rely on the support of people who care about our work. Your donations could help us to continue providing this crucial support for the rising number of people in need of our help.

Thank you once again, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance.

    With best wishes

    Becky

And the second to the Steve Bull Foundation.

    Dear Sue
On behalf of the Trustees and myself, I am writing to extend our thanks to you and everyone involved for their kind donation.
Here at my charity we continue to be very busy with numerous applications with requests to support worthy causes in the West Midlands and the Black Country, therefore every penny raised will enable us to continue to do this.
All donations go along way to helping the charities that The Steve Bull Foundation supports.
    Keep in touch
    Best Regards
    Steve Bull MBE
