Please note from last night's Derby v Rotherham match report: "Goals from loan signings Tom Ince (2) and Darren Bent dented Rotherham's bid to haul themselves away from the relegation places.....Bent has six goals in seven appearances..... Maclaren: "Rotherham played with a fierceness and a tempo that we didn't match for an hour. But fortunately we had a good bench with people who can come on and change a game and that's what happened". "The equaliser came after Jesse Lingard, signed on loan from Manchester Utd during the transfer window, made a powerful run down the left before delivering a low cross cleverly squeezed in by Bent at the near post." That's four goals from Ince in two games I think. Without the three loanees mentioned above would Derby be sustaining their promotion push so well? I very much doubt it. Meanwhile we wait (eternally) for the 'right' players....until it is too late.
