Daily Mail (Fridays)

Discussion in 'Molineux Mix Archive' started by VladivostokWolf, Jul 17, 2009.

  1. Just read Fridays Daily Mail and along with the McCarthy story at the end had a paragraph/sentance saying Wolves have offered a contract to Serb striker Marko Pantelic after his release from Hertha Berlin not seen this reported else where. Dont really know much about him, know he played for Paris St Germain when they had a great side in the late 90's.

There's a link to some of his goals for hertha on the transfer rumours thread vladi, worth a look at, some very well taken goals, but it's the first time i've seen it mentioned he's been offered a contract - looks a decent forward from the video, though they can be a little biased, he looks worth a contract

Good to see us shifting the focus on others while we zoom in on another.
    If this is true;).

Looking at his stats he's averaged just under a goal every other game at most of the clubs he's played for.

Never seen him play but if he can adjust to English football his stats suggest he might be a decent aquisition on a free.

    Maybe the new Vio Ganea.

Not at all just that someone mentioned a link to a goals scored compilation. Much like the one that our ex Polish goal-machine had running just before he signed for us.

He'll be 5th choice striker anyway won't he?

I still to this day feel sorry for Frankowski, he was playing in that terrible formation with virtually no service at all. We could have had SEB up front and not scored goals under Hoddle.

As for the serbian, if hes on a free then worth a shout, he wouldnt be first choice anyway just more competition.

Agree (to some extent) on Frankowski, although paying that much for someone that age was unwise the tactics didn't help him at all, if he'd have been playing in last years team with Keogh alongside him to create chances he'd have done better.... or scored at the very least!

It would have been better if the rest of the team had put some balls in to his feet.

Or if he'd had a decent one on one chance early on.....
