Was out in Hereford last night and had several conversations with Hereford United fans, primarily about the good old days, Turner, Bully and Matt Murray but the younger ones all seemed to have the same dark secret that they, "one by one", sheepishly confessed to.

They had become members of that lot down the road, not however because they have any affinity with the west Birmingham club, but simply because they can get tickets to their away games easily and they're generally cheaper than most other teams.

They told me they've been to Man City, Arsenal, Old Trafford etc and it was dead easy to get tickets and it was widely known and fans of other lower league teams target them as well.

Asked did they do it when we were in the Prem and they laughed said no chance of getting hold of away tickets with Wolves.

So next time your favourite Baggie brags about their away following, just ask them how many were bonafide Bennies!

It's a good way of getting to see decent teams easily, attaching yourself to a club with poor support where tickets are easy to come buy.

When Blackburn did those super £99 season tickets a few seasons ago they had loads of Man U and Liverpool fans buying them, because Blackburn were at home on the alternate weekends so they could go when Liverpool and United were away, plus they'd be guaranteed a ticket for their own game at Ewood.

I assumed that all these Hereford fans had become Albion fans since their club was wound up, which is fair enough.

Then you claim that they have been to Emirates and Old Trafford - 2 grounds we haven't visited yet this season!

So either a) They are simply ground hopping in order to visit all of the premier league grounds, in which case, why when trying to book around your own teams fixtures would you try to do it by 'following' another team? There are plenty of premiership fixtures where either the home or away end isn't sold out so there is ample opportunity to visit most grounds without waiting til we play there on a date that doesn't clash with a Hereford fixture.

Or b) You are talking total $$$$$$$$.

44 quid, early k.o, likely to get turned over, play them every season so not a 'day out'

Didn't you take 600 to Stoke for a sat 3pm in the Prem and 1100 to blues in the championship? Both of those over shadow any of our away followings over the last 20 years.

Maws we've had this argument before and other Wolves fans came on and shot you down. The figures I quote are from posters on this board.

But tbh I'm not interested in point scoring over a few hundred on an away attendance. My point was that the op is talking rubbish suggesting that a significant number of Hereford fans (and also fans of other clubs!) Now follow Albion.

Both in seasons where we were dead in the water. If I remember rightly, there were no trains or Metro on the day of the Blues game. I for one was on holiday, it was the only time I could get off work.

Windows (I.e you can have more than one window open when surfing the net) not been invented round by you yet?

i know in the past you have been caught out upping your followings and next you'l be telling me that you wouldn't swap the championship for the Prem with pulis in charge.

I'm sure that someone on here said it was 1100 but im not gonna argue, you go off and celebrate the fact that you took 1600 to Blues.

Our last two visits we have taken 5500 and 4200...but guess what? This still doesn't change the fact that the op is Tosh!!

So you put a figure on here and it's gospel. It's no more accurate than me quoting figures that I am sure I have read on here in the past.

And putting #owned, only gives you less credibility as it makes you sound like a 12 year old.

But regardless, I've already said I'm not arsed about arguing over a few hundred fans at away games it's pretty irrelevant to the 1st post.

And as you play blues once in a decade it's a big day out for you!!!! Oh and you lot $$$$ each other off as you both hate us n the villa means taking kids there ain't a lottery, ask any wolves fan they'll tell you going blues is a horrible experience! I've been bricked in the coach park, next to bully as it happens! Stoke was our darkest day, I know I was there

    A) Being told I'm obsessed for posting on a wolves forum on yet another thread about the Albion. Irony.

    B) 306, all in the lower leagues. At least we've moved on, your still in the same position as when he retired.

    A) Come on, don't tell me there are no threads about the "dingles" on the Sandwell sites? Is the Dingle Talk still going at 234,499 pages? Do you see any Wolves hurrying to post on there? Yet you arrived within hours of this thread being created, which suggests to me your constantly visiting this site, you sad little weasel.

    B) So they were - as you would know, because many were against you too mucka. Thank you very much for Stevie Bull :D

I agree its putrid. WBA = Walsall Bennies Alliance.

So you took 5000 to Blues - its a Birmingham derby game FFS.

Firstly, there is no more Sandwell discussion than there is Wolves discussion on your neanderthals websites. I cannot prove that, so please don't ask me to which I imagine you will, but by law of averages of teams talking about others, it is similar/same - that applies to every football rivalry in the UK.

Secondly, why does it bother you? I could not give two shiny $$$$es about who and what is posted about us from you lot. Infact, I think it is a compliment because your talking about us, whether it be good or bad. You scurry over here so petulantly whenever something is posted. Honestly, just get over it. As you say, your the oh so dominant lot.

I can guarantee you that there were at least 2 wolves fans there supporting Walsall last week....and I daresay there were plenty of others.

I agree that some sections of Blues and Albion fans 'get on' (although we too have been victims of spitting from above and rocks chucked over the fencing outside the away end so its not all lovey dovey when we go there) In my experience Walsall fans don't like us very much - more a case of when it comes to Albion and Wolves they see us a the lesser of 2 evils.
