So frustrating when its laid out like that. Need to use the loan window early doors if we want to challenge the top six.

Shameful, but did we really expect anything else, 84 players signed and we sign 1.

To be fair in the Top 10 only Wednesday, Brentford & Derby have brought in more than 2 players most of which are loans no one has gone overboard which teams in January in The Championship don't do any way.

We've signed 10 players on loan or permanently so far this season. And I'm including players who are not first team signings in that, like Jordon Graham, Donovan Wilson, and Kuszczak.

Fulham have signed 16 in the same time frame, Forest have signed 17, Wigan have signed 18, Brighton have signed 19, Cardiff and Leeds have signed 20, and they're all woefully underperforming.

So how, in your mind, does quantity equal quality?

Very good point you're making here. Those sayin' "We need to sign 100 000 new players" really don't have a clue what it's all about.

Looking at that list, excepting Derby, there is a load of $$$$ been signed.

Don't think anyone is saying we need to sign loads of players, in fact most are saying we need one or two quality additions, as we did in the summer.

I always think if you're bringing in more than a few players in January you're panic buying a bit. The teams with the most deals tend to be the ones having poor seasons.
I think Afobe is a quality signing and improves the first team squad. We didn't sign people just for the sake of it like i'm sure some clubs do.
That said with Johnson and Clarke going yesterday i'm really hoping we sign someone on loan who can come in and make a difference. If that doesn't happen i will be disappointed.

    Exactly..

Ask yourself why a side feels the need to turn 18 players over in the first place?

Another thread used as an excuse to have a go at Edwards.

Our third top scorer who is instrumental in our pressing game, particularly away from home.

At a glance from that Id have took:

    Spearing
    Le Fondre
    Lingard
    Forshaw
    Watson
    Ince

The rest you can keep. Still should've been at the very least one more signing from us.

Agreed, the only play we tried for in that list was Lingaard. That's was only and enquiry and not a formal offer.

I would of added Sol Bamba to that list.

Totally agree which is why I'm so disappointed with the dealings since the end of last season. Pick the strongest team, assuming everyone fit and none of the players signed since would feature.

RVLP would feature, in my opinion but I get where you are coming from.

I've seen this asked about 5 times now including 1 from myself & I have yet to see a reply from the Moxey/Morgan no ambition club.
