No Doyle on the bench either as his missus has gone into labour.

Wonder if that played a part in Jackett deciding to go one up top?

Hause and RVLP for Golbourne and Dicko.

Back to 4-2-3-1 by the looks of things.

To be fair Henry didn't start the last game so hardly dropped.

Golbourne I'm assuming just protecting his foot.

Those changes are ridiculous considering the last two games. Why not play your best XI...

My mistake, I wasn't at the Fulham game but assumed he started.

Even so, we've looked great with Afobe and Dicko linking up and I think we look far better with Golbourne bombing forward down the left.

Just a bit baffled considering we've scored 8 in two games. Needless tinkering!!

KJ's idea of safety first -- drop Dicko. Sorry, I don't get it.

I wish he'd stop tinkering and let us get a settled team and push on, letting the opposition worry about us and not the other way around!

I think most managers like to utilise their squads nowadays, especially when we've got games coming thick and fast, as we have at the present. Keeps the players fresh

KJ said he would probably rest Dicko/Afobe at some point. Could be that the roles are reversed at Bournemouth, i.e. Afobe in the team and Dicko on the bench

4-5-1 also enables us to be more compact away from home. 3 in central midfield means we won't get outnumbered there. And Hause instead of Goldbourne gives us more height and solidity at the back, albeit we lose a bit going forwards. And of course KJ has the option to change things and go 4-4-2 if we need to chase the game.

I can understand the rationale for this formation. Remember it has served as well at times this season. I don't understand why people are complaining already..

The usual suspects lining up for their insurance policy "I told you so" potshots at Jackett, as per. Hopefully history repeats itself and we're 3-0 up at half-time, just like we were in midweek after everyone slagged the team off before kick-off.

Cant believe he has dropped Dicko for RVLP.
Hope it works but don't understand that one bit.

I'm ok with that line-up (although I think I'd still prefer Dicko in there for either RVLP or Edwards). Back to virtually the same side and formation that played so well away at Watford and Blackburn. Perhaps he felt that we were too easy to play against in our last away game at Norwich.

I quite like the fact he changed it up to go with two up front in our home games against struggling opposition but is trying to make us more solid in what should be a far harder game.

If anyone was at Norwich you can understand his thinking. It's a big game where it's crucial to win the midfield

Hause for Golbourne??? We've got two fullbacks who will spend the whole game trying not to mess up and will offer us no creativity. Got to be Golbourne and Doc for me.

That's how I see it too. Can always revert to 4-4-2 if chasing the game.

I can understand the rationale behind his thinking.

We have to remember we have Bournemouth on Tuesday also...we need either Afobe or Dicko relatively fit and fresh, its good management by KJ in my opinion and good use of the squad. Stop whinging whingers and let he who knows better than all of us wannabe managers get on with it! Up the Wolves!

His pace gets him so far but his final ball is pretty dreadful.

And Doc has been pretty poor for some time himself. Rarely getting forward.

His final ball may be dreadful but his pace and runs cause problems in themselves, one which led to the 1st goal against Fulham.

We have to keep an eye on the likes of Noone, Jones, Kitson,Kennedy today. They have some dangerous players.

Not if he's still feeling the effects of his foot injury.

Also he wasn't great in the last two games.

On recent form, noway is it close between Iorfa & Doc, imo.

Disappointed Dicko is not in, but you have to trust KJ knows how his hamstring is. Hause is clearly second choice LB, but again none of us know how badly Golbourne is struggling with this slightly mysterious foot injury. 4231 probably not a bad idea today albeit we have really impressed at home

I thought Golbourne was poor against Fulham and, being honest, apart from one cross to Afobe he offered next to nothing going forward. I am not really surprised. Perhaps RVLP is on as he destroyed the Cardiff fullback in the home game.

He's being very careful with Dicko to 'manage his injury' (straight from the horses mouth) but I'd much prefer him to start our most important attacking player in my opinion then bring him off if necessary, as opposed to bring him on to chase a game we might be losing/drawing. Dicko is crucial.

For me Iorfa is an automatic pick now. Goldbourne was pretty poor against Fulham, I think he deserved to be dropped.
