Never been to the new ground as last time round it was on a Sunday and an awkward kick off time.

Seems a bit quiet being as it is less than a fortnight away, especially on the clubs front regarding sales and I was just wondering how many on here are making it? I hope we take a good following. Looking forward to it, I still think generally speaking we are better away than at home and got a feeling about this one, similar feeling to what I had pre Huddersfield.

    I'm still undecided WW.

It's over a 400 mile round trip for me and best part of at least 8 hrs driving if traffic is good.

Only two of us showing any sort of interest as such and being perfectly honest after Saturday I'm finding it difficult to motivate myself right now. Few more days might think and feel differently.

Tickets arrived today. Think they are taking going back to blue a little bit too seriously based on the printing!

Really looking forward to this one, been to Ninian and the CCS and always had a good day out! Going down Friday for the weekend to stay with mates at uni so might be feeling a little rough on match day!
Easy to get to as well from The Sham, bring it on!

Me and the Nations favourite are making the trip. Should be a good away day, plenty of decent boozers in Cardiff.

Yes me and my son are going, got the tickets a week last Saturday, both away season ticket holders .
Probably will be going in the Gol centre for a drink before the game, less than ten minute walk to the ground, unless somewhere else crops up in between now and then

I know what you mean. It is juniors turn to drive though, so can enjoy a good drink for once - and it is a ground I have not been to either, so guess those factors come into it before the actual game itself!

Strangely enough I have a good feeling though. I think it is one of those away games where our counter attacking could get the better of them as it did last tues.

You know what it is like though mate, 4 points from our next two home games and we will shift through a decent hundred. 2 wins and we may well even sell the lot in a quick dash. Both scenarios may well seem bit farfetched though I admit ;)

Gol centre is ok, you can find out more on the football league ground guide website and go to Cardiff City

Gutted to be missing this - am at a wedding - but Cardiff is a fabulous city - had my stag do in Cardiff last year. When we played there on a Sunday season before last I went with a CCFC mate of mine who dragged me into every pub between the ground and the train station (the suburb of Canton) after the game. Some of the pubs were interesting to say the least however the city centre is brilliant and very welcoming.

On a side note there were a few Wolves fans who stopped off in Hereford on the way home - if any of you guys are thinking of doing the same I can recommend The Commercial on the main road near the station - further up the road is a Yates, a Wetherspoons and a few food outlets.

Like I say gutted I can't be there but really looking forward to Bournemouth the following Tuesday!

Same here anything £30 or above I'm not even considering (even if it was a nailed on game I wanted to go as this was) on principle.

Went to Norwich just because travel was so cheap sharing fuel. Anything over £25 for a ticket is definitely too much though. I can't believe tickets are even over £20!!!

I'm doing my utmost best to convince another couple of the old crowd along and so far seem to be fairly successful in one of them saying yes. If so then more likely to come along so wish me luck.

I shall be going to the Prince of Wales (right by the station) first to meet my Dad, and then moving on to a pub closer to the ground later.

Ticket arrived today. Meeting my daughter who lives in Cardiff after the game as well, so really looking forward to it. Catching a 95/95A bus from outside the station. purplepault69, there's a station called Ninian Park Halt that looks the closest, is Grangetown nearer or just easier for you?

Just taken from the CCFC website :
"The railway station in closest proximity to Cardiff City Stadium is now Grangetown Station. We are approximately 5-10 minutes walk away from Grangetown, which you can get to by taking a connecting train from Cardiff's main station, Cardiff Central"

Been working in Cardiff for the last 2 years, staying here during week and going home weekends so staying in Cardiff for this one.

It's a great city with loads of good pubs and restaurants. The ground is an easy 15/20 minute walk from the town centre and main station. I think most of the city pubs are quite safe, they've always had a good buzz during the weekends I've stayed here. Some good ones are The Duke of Wellington in middle of city, The Gatekeeper (wetherspoons), and Dempseys near the Millennium Stadium.

At those reasonable prices compared to the standard ones , I think it will be the family section.
anyone recommend anywhere to stay (2 adults + 2 kids)
    cheers

If I was staying it would have to be any hotel/b&b around the bay area. Loads of cafes, bars, restaurants and a great area just to stroll around with the family. Better than the City Centre for me and only a 3 min drive/bus ride away. You'll all have a great time esp when we've won!

BBW spent a few hours in the Prince of Wales before the play-off final against Sheff Utd - fantastic memories! The walls were adorned with Wolves flags and the atmosphere was fantastic!

The Future Inn is a decent hotel in Cardiff Bay that does big family rooms fairly cheaply, about 5 minutes walk from the main bay area. It also has free parking.

The Premier Inn right in the middle of the City also gets good reviews and if you want B&B's there are loads on Cathedral Road about 10 mins walk to the city centre (all the hotel booking websites will show these).
