If he wants to get a move to a top Premier club at the end of the season he'd better show a good attitude and start scoring consistently or Albion can forget getting anywhere near £20million.

Walsall are doing alright at the moment, they don't need a big time Charlie like him.

Am I the only one thinking that what he's said isn't actually that bad?

I think he is a very mislead unguided young man, badly in need of a shoulder around with some wise words - he needs to see the bigger picture, short term. If he moves on at the end of the season to a "bigger club" then long term I think he will deteriorate as he is not yet good enough.

Football as it is today means no it isn't that bad, but I wouldn't tolerate it.

I just don't know who he thinks he is? He'll get the move and Albion will get the £20m but he'll be a benchwarmer at best.

    Modern football is wonderful.

Huge game for them away at Burnley on Saturday. With their run-in, that's one game they really wouldn't want to be losing...

He is the most over-rated player I have ever seen!!

Said it on the thread when he was flying, but the guy is so lucky.

14 goals all season, 4 against Gateshead, 3 Burnley, and atleast 2 other penalties.

He is reasonably quick and is a good finisher, so he will probably forge out a decent Premier League career in general terms.

He is a (very) poor man's Defoe for me at the minute - and no one would ever suggest paying £20m for him!

His build up play is non-existent and for the clubs/teams and the fee mentioned you should be after so much more than a sharp finisher.

I hope the hype doesnt mean Albion will get silly money but fear they will.

Basically he is guilty of voicing his thoughts to the media instead of just keeping it to himself and getting on with it.

There are plenty of people who put ALL their personal thoughts about anything and everything on twitter or facebook without thinking about the consequences, especially youngsters but also older people who should know better. If he apologizes then I'm sure he will be accepted back into the fold. Reminds me a bit of Leigh Griffiths.

Agree Stefan what he said isn't that bad , but continuously late for training , late for pre match meals and drink driving , all sums up a pretty subordinate individual.
My crystal ball predicts league one for him in 5 years

Sadly its par for the course for these young kids who were brought up with the huge divide between the 3-4 giants and the rest of the clubs. An attitude that is the direct product of the Sky/press fication with the big boys.

Spoke to a former youth team colleague of his who said "lovely lad with other players but totally full of himself as a footballer". I actually thought he was poor for u21's at molineux but that was just one game

The romantic story of a lad escaping from civil war to find fame and fortune in West Bromwich seems to be falling apart. A bit like the story of the guy escaping from racist abuse on Russia to be loved by the Brummie Road. Not to mention the guy plucked from Kidderminster to play for his boyhood club and be a better striker than Steve Bull.

I've heard a number of ex players talking about this and this will not go down well in the dressing room. Seems to have broken an unspoken law!

If Blues can decline £5m for Demari Gray then berahino is worth more than that.

Agreed & he'll probably be happy being a benchwarmer on twice as much money at a bigger club.

Has he crossed paths with Scott Sinclair at all? Yet another example of a promising player who chased the dollar rather than building a career

Not necessarily. Blues don't want to sell, Albion do, Gray didn't want to leave, Berahino does, which means straight away, the buying club has the power.

But Albion aren't going to let their most promising player go cheap even though he wants to go. He is under contract so the sellers will call the shots.

If the boggies want £20M they may have a very long wait and never see that sort of figure even mentioned let alone offered.

He does seem like a bit of a berk and I doubt anyone would spend 20m on him with his ego as it is. Maybe Liverpool though, they seem to like overspending on overrated English talent.

They do seem to have spent vast sums on a few players that haven't been value for money.

Don't get me started on that, that ridiculous price for that centre half & then bloody Adam Lallana for £25m. He doesn't even play.

I think £20 million is a bit silly, but not exactly unusual in the current market for young English players. Meeting the home grown requirement is important though. He is clearly a very talented player, if a bit of an idiot.

Definitely some space for him to step up though. He wouldn't get anywhere near the Chelsea, Man City, Man United and Arsenal teams, they have more than enough strikers, but just beneath there is potential opportunity. Balotelli, Borini and Lambert could all be leaving Liverpool in the near future, similarly with Adebayor and Soldado potentially leaving Tottenham. Both clubs are notorious money wasters as well. Jay Rodriguez is reportedly wanted by Tottenham and could leave Southampton, whilst Osvaldo is likely to leave as well, so they may look to sign another striker. West Ham are set to get a record breaking sponsorship deal, so they may want to spend some cash as well, particularly if they're strengthening for the Europa League.

With stories like this, his apparent attitude problems etc I doubt he will go for anywhere near 20million.

Haha yep. Don't forget £35m for Andy Carroll, £20m for Stuart Downing, £20m for Jordan Henderson, £10m for Charlie Adam, £15m for Joe Allen etc etc.
