I know it's still a while away - but better to be prepared !
I'm driving & have the American Footie at Wembley the next day so I've been booking things early - Brighton do a useful fans info booklet for away fans - https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/siteassets/201718-images/pdfs/away-fan-guide-201718-full-july17---final.pdf
    - they recommend the 3 park & rides which are INCLUDED in the match ticket price, or use of the local trains which are also included free - that's my kind of club & a strong hint for Jeff & the boys ;)
Some local hotels are still relatively reasonably priced - I'm booked in the Downs Hotel which looks relatively rough but was only £49 - they also run a park & ride to the stadium but I don't really fancy being on a bus full of Brighton fans when we have stuffed them :D - so I'll give that an hours miss after getting the car out of the P&R - fish & chips on the front then back for a couple of pints before driving up to Wembley the next morning.

One of the games I'm targeting to get to, work permitting!
Trouble is I can see this selling out before I even get a chance of getting a ticket, if any ST or AST holders or anyone higher up the ticket pecking order cant make this game pretty please could I use your ticket! You'd make a sailor very happy! :)

    I dont know what happened!
Was going to say I lived in Brighton many years and the hotel you mentioned is pretty much on the same road as the stadium
albeit a long road. Easy access to motorway etc.

Have been there twice, one we stopped over the night before (end of season). You really have to get your skates on afterwards to get back to Brighton station, London, then tube to Euston. We did to get back on the train on the tent valley line anyway.

To be fair most will go into town if they wanna go drinking. Your hotel is on the outskirts of Woodingdean so its fairly residential as opposed to noisy town centre. I live 20 miles outside of Brighton now but will be there . Cant wait . Hope you have a good one !

With where it is now Thor I think it would be a damn good idea - don't you ??? To fill a 55,000 stadium we have to find another 25,000 fans that's probably 12,000 more cars and parking is "fun" as it is !

I would want to keep it where it is. The city Center has a fully functioning bus and rail network so there is no need for a free buss carrying people to some soulless out of town retail park with 10k car parking spaces. I value the pre game atmosphere and banter with mates in town center pubs and that short walk through the renown subway to Molineux more than I would Laurie giving me a free shuttle buss.

The irony is that as someone who generally drives to games, places like Bolton and Reading are a nightmare. Having the ground in the city means people head off in all directions and the traffic isn't that bad. And no I never leave early!

Those were 2 of the easier grounds last year - Bolton park at the Barnstormers for a pint pre match then have a soft drink there after the match and all the traffic had gone, beat most of the coaches home too - Reading parked on the Ind Est by the shopping centre, bite to eat and pint there pre match, coffee afters and empty roads - not quite like Mol last Saturday with a 1hour 20min wait for my bus

I'll be staying with the sister-in-law that very weekend at Saltdean 5 miles away. It couldn't be more perfect if I can get a ticket...otherwise it's down to the local pub and hopefully see it on a TV transmission.
