Virgin are running NO Pendalino services on Boxing Day.

This means I don't have to work Christmas day night to get them ready so I'm very pleased.

National rail have solved the problem.Very simple answer--notrains on xmas day or boxing day. When I asked how they justified this she simply saidd "COZ THEIR NOT RUNNING" Translation:- Because they are not intending to have any of the locomotive stock in operation.

Without trying to turn this into a CV thread........what exactly do you do in your line of work and do you get one of those full length jackets from Virgin?

I don't work for Virgin, I just fix their trains at Midlands train care depot in Wolverhampton, (we overlook Dunstall Park Racecourse.)

Of course not. Between my wife and the Army all of my life is organized for me. I just get up and do what I'm told.

Question Romulus, where are you coming from? If it is from anywhere near me I'd be happy to give you a lift.

Maybe its because all the poor (bar a few I wish not to like[IMG]) rail workers deserve 2 days off a year, that silly billy branson has alot to answer for IMO.

Only 1 day shutdown. Blokes are in on Christmas eve and again on boxing day evening. If we had boxing day services some would have to work Christmas day.

  17. As far as I know there is never a train service on Boxing Day? Explains why years ago I used to have to suffer National Express.

I was referring to you observing other people and amusments thereof.....never mind.

I'll never forget a train journey from Newcastle to London, when I saw a bloke chunder right in his bird's face. The amazing thing was the nonchalance with which she wiped it off, as if it were a daily occurence....
