I'm sure this has been mentioned countless times before, but as someone who doesn't normally get tickets online, I am seeking clarification.

If tickets are uploaded to your smart card there is no booking fee involved, but if they have to print it off there is, that's my understanding of it for home tickets?

So, why is there a booking fee regardless for away tickets when the tickets are already printed off? I understand from a delivery perspective, but if I ordered away tickets online for collection at Molineux, there surely shouldn't be one, should there?

Welcome to the murky waters of WWFC ticket ordering procedures. Buy in person in the Ticket Office with cold hard cash & you don't get charged, dare to try & use some sort of card & ..........................................................

I often pay by cheque & yet don't get charged but surely the money has to clear before WWFC get their money? Strange one ..................

Since early last season I think you can "print at home" for individual home tickets too without a booking fee. The bar code reader at the turnstiles reads the bar code on home printed tickets.

For away games there is a booking fee because:
    (a) all the ticket revenue goes to the home club
    (b) Wolves have to pay to mail out the tickets
    (c) Wolves have to pay the bank to process your credit or debit card payment
    (d) Wolves have to pay the ticket office staff to process the ticket order

No, you're wrong on the first point. 5% of ticket sales stay with us on the away tickets we sell, given the revenue that produces it should be more than enough to sustain points b,c and d.

They also get charged to pay cash into the bank, and they have to pay ticket office staff to sit in the office and process your ticket if you go in person, yet there is no booking fee for payment by cash in the ticket office

I don't have a printer at home but if needs must I could print at work. Is there any advance on having tickets delivered to mobile devices like is common with most airline and train companies these days? I've not seen it mentioned, is this something the club are looking at?

Not a moan, the club already provide a good number of options but with the advance of mobile technology and apps then it's something I think could be of benefit.

I don't think a phone would fit in the slot on the turnstile

I never knew that Moira. It would be fairer to charge say £1 per booking (instead of £1.50 per ticket) to cover the postage charges I guess.

As with most things these days businesses charge what they can get away with and booking fees are charged for tickets across a range of industries such as train tickets on trainline.com or theatre tickets. I dont think they are allowed to charge a booking fee for walk in bookings otherwise it would be deemed to just be part of the actual ticket price.

Business bank charges are negotiable. I doubt Wolves pay for making cash deposits like small businesses but they would definitely have to pay merchant charges for card payments.

If you don't get charged a fee for a cheque Jim, it's because they must think you are a bit special, what with the numbers you buy for your gang.

I'm in the back office of the T.O. most match weeks and I often see a sheet with all Yorkshire Wolves ticket requirements on it. Not only should you not pay booking, you should get a flaming commission pal.

Anyway, have you persuaded your good lady to come on the pitch yet. You know you want to?
    Let me know mate.
Sorry to high jack the thread for a second.

I purchase all away tickets for me and my son either over the phone I then have no choice to pay the £1.50 booking fee, or if they go on sale coinciding with a home game then I can go into the ticket office and pay cash, however if I paid by credit or debit card then it is still a charge £1.50 per ticket, totally unfair as there is no posting out involved and would be amazed if it was costing the club more than 20p per transaction let alone per ticket. Another way of squeezing money out of the fans who are already spending a small fortune to support the team away from home

That is the thing that really winds me up, charging £6.00 for four tickets purchased in one transaction is a rip off.

Don't know on the "To mobiles" front but that's the way it's all going so I'd think it's on the way.

Oh and print at home does mean print at work! You can do a better print on better paper with no cost to yourself!

Yeah I agree it is a rip off. They were even charging £6 for the £40 Wolves4FamilyFootball offer.

I think the club should waive the £1.50 fee myself. Not gonna happen though if the club are making about £2000 per away game as it will work out at £50K a season and Morgan and Moxey are a couple of tightwads.

I bought a couple of tickets for our game at Sixfields last season direct from Coventry. It was quite refreshing not having to pay Jez's booking fee so not everybody does it. They even rang me up to question my online booking and happily gave me seats in the Wolves end.

Have mentioned tickets via mobile phones / QR codes on here before. Seems to scare a few people.
