As if they haven't already got enough good players.
Should be a law against it. Another example of how sick the premiership is.

Just signing him so their rivals won't. Daft.

    Good player. But daft.

To be honest, Agüero and Jovetic do get injured quite often.
Džeko on his own can't do it all. Smart move, I'd say.

I think it probably spells the end of Dzeko's Man City career.

Dzeko's 28, soon to be 29, so Man City are probably looking at it thinking they've probably got two more windows to sell him whilst they can still recoup a big(ish) fee and have brought Bony in, who's about 3 years away from that stage.

Like Dicko who whilst I know isn't in their bracket at this time makes me wonder what he could be worth if he could make the step up? At 22yrs of age and improving, IMHO, all the time I believe he was a real bargain.

What's ridiculous about it, City often play two up top so they now have 4 strikers. As Sedgley said two of them keep getting injured and Dzeko been linked with a move away.

Although if I was Swansea I would have held out for more than £25+3 million!

Do you not think Jovetic will be out the door? Dzeko at least gets goals & can play as a lone striker or as a pairing, I'm not sure they'd be bothered about balancing the books just who can do what now & that Dzeko for me, he's a quality player.

Didn't they send Negredo on loan to Valencia because of FFP though?

Man City have got the highest scoring Premiership player of 2014 on their books, the highest scoring Premiership player of 2014 gets to play Champions League football, and Swansea have a shed load of money to use as they see fit.

I'm not sure I see the problem with this move?

where do they get 25 million from?

Is it actually "real" money that changes hands?

I've always wondered that.or is it just kind of monopoly money :)

did wolves turn up with a suitcase of loot when they signed Andy Gray?

As an occasional visitor to the Liberty this just so $$$$es me off. Swansea unearth a bloody good striker who pretty much single-handedly helped them to stay up last season and big bucks City come along and whip him away to be their 4th striker? He won't get games and he'll be off in 12/24 months disheartened but with a very large bank balance. Modern day football really $$$$ing $$$$es me off.

Who will replace dezeko as aguero's main rival for the shirt or partner in a 442 by the start of last season. That's imo obviously. I really think he's class

Indeed it does!.....and as it should!

A lot potentially wrong for the SuperSwans.

As history often has demonstrated, a non-struggling club operating and thriving successfully in the 'also ran' sector of the 'great competition and the best league in the world' doesn't generally do too well after selling their key players.....there is no guarantee they can replace a proven player that has kept them competitive no matter how much money they have received.

    Goals is what it's about.

I don't see how you can say they unearthed him as he was hardly hiding as the leading scorer in Holland and Swansea got him because they offered more money than West Ham. I'm sure Vittesse felt exactly the same as you're describing about a moneybags Premier League side stealing their star striker. What's the difference?

Does he even care.......does he really need to?

He'll be told to just run with the set 'programming' …...attaining level 4 in the loaded game is as good as it can get.

Go again, you still have another life or two.....if you care to.

You do realize Koeman's at Southampton don't you?

The team that lost Lallana, Lambert, Shaw & one or two others besides & yet are in the top six

Sometimes it can work out, but not always.

Southampton are doing superbly well but the chances are they will slip out and join the others.

Fair enough - had the balls to pay a lot of money for him and bring him over.
I know nothing about Vitesse but Swansea did not buy him to sit on the bench - which is where he will end up at City. Too many players imo make big money moves to the top clubs to make mega bucks but play no football - let's see how many games he's played for City this time next year?

I think Bony will be a great signing for them he's got everything you could want from a PL striker.
He is also egligible for the CL this season for them
City often play 2 up front so i don't get the 3rd choice sitting on the bench argument.
Dzeko is out of favour, Jovetic (who i like) will go back to Serie A probably Juventus and be a real hit i really rate Jovetic i think he's been unlucky with injuries at City and been in and out of the team.
