Looks like it's going to be quite a healthy attendance for this one, seems to be that the SB is sold out and other areas doing decent enough. Any ideas on how many we will get?

With the prices and the form we should be getting close to a sell out on our part to be honest.

What so are you saying that this attendance (for not the most glamorous of fixtures) is going to be well above average?

But why, I know theyve halved the prices but according to some of the know it alls on here price doesn't effect attendance.

Saturday will be my first live game in 35 years - I have clearly swelled the attendance (i do need to lose a few pounds) :D

I shall have to make sure I don't start the Peter Knowles-Burnside chant ...

    I am saying that.

Surprisingly.. 5 of us are attended the match alongside our STH mates because of the half price incentive, it was a case as at that price it would be more of a hassle to not go.

Looking forward to all day drink up and hopefully a result :D.

Lets hope Blackpool bring a fair few too, you'd like to think so with it being half price for them too.

How come we never get lucky and one of our away games falls on the home team running a promotion on price.

43 blocks of seats sold out or nearly sold out (black areas generally just have singles left), says everything about price - I reckon 25000 plus on Saturday for a game that otherwise would have attacted a sub 20000 gate probably. Ironically only ones left are more expensive wings.

Wish I could find those posts to see who was arguing price wouldnt affect a gate, especially as the increase is hardly anything to do with glory hunting. Sales were more or less as they are now before the win at Blackburn.

In contrast just 5 blocks sold out or nearly sold out for tonight and I forecast less than 10000. Even at £15 people just do not view it as VALUE FOR MONEY for a cup game.

Wow, is that true Dawley? Molineux has changed quite a bit since 1980. :)

The John Ireland stand is still there, called the Steve Bull stand now, and has gold seats.

Should be 25,000 plus, if tickets keep selling well up to kick-off.

Going for 25,750 which would be our best crowd of the season so far.

Really I thought Bournemouth and Notts Forest were good crowds, couldn't get in the south bank for either.

It looks like we are just around the 25k mark now including away tickets as I can't see blackpool bringing more than 800-1000 so I think we should be aiming for 27k, there is still plenty of time. Have they done a good job of promoting this. I don't live in Wolverhampton so not sure, but I haven't seen much communication on it through email, social media and website. Shame that we aren't playing a team with a slightly bigger following as I think we would have come very close to selling out again.

Forest gate was reasonable, 25,513 but they brought a decent following.

Bournemouth was only 20,196 but the South Bank often sells well even when crowds are small.

Wouldnt say they have bust a blood vessell trying to advertise it, only ticket news was that town centre club shop couldnt currently sell match tickets due to an ongoing glitch since before Xmas.

I do wonder if they actually want people going in randomly asking for match tickets, if this had been really pushed I reckon it could have been a sell out from our angle, but still 3 full days after today to sell.

I wouldnt have thought Blackpool would bring more than a 1000 even at the cheaper price.

Well selling out when it's full price & not selling out when it's half price still says to me price is not the biggest factor overall.

yup - half price tickets and being able to see JOH play again brings me back to Dawley for the weekend and then back to Canada by Monday - either that or family health issues .....

it will be strange sitting down to watch a match - I have lost my rattle (would probably be considered a weapon these days) and my bobble hat, but will make sure I buy a new scarf while I am there

Sorry to hear about health issues, hope all ends well.

Go in the Southbank you won't have to sit down (you'll just get bruises on your shins from the seat in front).

Afraid the 'selfie stick' is the item of contention (whether to allow in or not) thesedays.

Bobble hats are back in to be fair so you're alright on that score.

    Enjoy!

FAO Morgan & Moxey: Need a bigger south bank!

Bournemouth sold about 2000 I thought the ground looked pretty full but was in the undercover corner part of the NB lower so couldn't see the whole ground.

This game is also advertised on the coming soon board outside the Hogs Head so it must be the featured game on the football league show if it's a foreign broadcast

In light of today's news I hope we should sell out for this. Sir Jack must have loved to have seen his Molineux full, and I think we'd all agree a sell out crowd paying tribute is the least he deserves.

I won't be offended but in the light of today's sad news let the club give away all the remaining tickets. What a fantastic tribute to see 31,000 applauding on Saturday.
    Can it be done Wolves?

Don't see the point really, people will pay and the half price deal is quite enough IMO. Having looked at the online sales, I'm confident we'll sell out. It won't be another 30k though probably because of the Blackpool numbers.

Also hope we don't let O'Hara overshadow it by making him the centre of attention. It's about Sir Jack Hayward now

There will be a 'full tribute' to Jack on Saturday.

NB inc lower quadrant nearly sold out now. Look to be moving quickly, availability was still at Good earlier.I expect they'll open the SB wings shortly. Let's sell them all.

People are forgetting the Steve Bull Lower tier is not open to sales - that's another 2500 unsold.

Having just seen Steve Morgan talk on Sky, he says Saturday will be a minutes silence, but Saturday will be about a celebration for Sir Jack.

I reckon they ought to sell quite a lot more - everyone connected with Wolves ought to be there on Saturday to give him a proper send off.
