Bored Sunday morning. Thought I'd instigate a bit of reminiscing. Anyone recall Danny Dichio's screamer for QPR in the mid 90's? That would be my call.

I've got a clear mental picture of that one flying from about 30 yards into the far corner of the net dipping over Mike Stowell (I presume) at the North Bank end. As always the may be completely wrong though!

For those who like pain this was a bad night for letting in good goals

Raul Meireles goal for Liverpool against us in the 3-0 loss was pretty good.

Conor Coady's against us this season was class as well for Huddersfield.

Always think of this hat-trick from Ian Marshall, opening game of the season at home, can't remember too many, in fact any off hand hat-tricks from an opposition player

(Film not great)

Armstrong was first class that day as well.

We were really down to the bare bones, so many injuries that season and we lost Tom Bennett in that game with a pretty serious injury IIRC, I had never rated him until that season he really started to pick up a bit of form.

Raul Meireles.

Had a fantastic view bang in line with it about 7/8 rows back, such an amazing strike applauded it.

I initially thought of Raul Meireles effort as well.

True, and I am probably doing him a disservice, plus I think he pulled a hammy trying to make the save?

It wasn't exactly in the corner!

Think he was unsighted when he first hit it as it goes through players legs and with the power had little time to react when he did.

Watching live it looked like a goal the second it left his boot...I do wish we would take a few more shots from distance as its a part of our game we never seem to have had.

Was there that game with friends. All 4 goals were great, 1st slightly lesser so. Palace were a damn good side- taught us a lesson that night.

Off the top of my head:

Dichio
Koncheskey
Phillips (in the playoffs)
Meireles
Elmander
Noble

Most of the ones I can think of have already been mentioned. Adlene's one against us for Forest was pretty tasty.

Wolves v Arsenal 1971

I remember this away goal very well.. the ball flying into the North Bank net by Ray Kennedy of Arsenal.

Check out his great strike at 7:50. Fortunately, Wolves put five in the same net, second half. :)

Am I right in saying that Elmanders went in the same season as Meireles?

Either way, the one season it seemed every goal was brilliant, those two (I think), Everton scored a belter through Bilyaletdinov and even Phil Neville stuck one in the top corner too in the same game!
And Defoe scored two great shots as well.

On top of the other suggestions, I'd throw in Jamie Scowcrofts volley against us when they beat us 3-0 a while back.
