Started, just scored an own goal
He's played the whole game and been one of their best players according to the commentators.
Berra didn't come on at half time he has actually played for the whole game so far... and has had a really decent and solid game.
Own goal was very unfortunate... if Berra hadn't tried to intercept - it was a tap in for the centre forward... sadly all he could do was direct it past Craig Gordon.
But hey - any excuse to knock one of our own eh...?
$$$$ing $$$$ers. He's played really well for 82 minutes, and as soon as he scores an OG we get three threads. Bunch of $$$$$.
$$$$ all he could do about that - he *had* to try and cut out the cross, and once you've tried that it can go anywhere. Shame for him - he's played really well again.
Sadly it's always the same isn't it Del..? Bunch of knee jerk **** heads.
Calm down you fanny!
Any excuse to knock our own.
As an aside, Japan's support has been phenomenal from minute one to minute ninety. THough the theme tune to 'big break' is a bit odd...
I was amused by it, nothing else, I've barely been paying attention to the game, didn't realise he ws playing (hence assuming he came on in the 2nd half) and the last time I saw him play for scotland, I'm pretty sure he gave away a penalty. Seems he's a bit of a calamity when he puts on the national shirt
edit: I'm also stoked that out of the 3 threads, mine has been chosen
Agreed that when Berra last played for Scotland earlier this season (was it against Norway??) he was out of form, very unfit and quite shocking.
Since then he has come into the Wolves first team and has improved week on week and is playing better than I have ever seen him play.
Today he played really well in a poor Scotland side and was really unlucky with the OG.
Calamity he is certainly not... and he is no where near as embarrassing as you are.
What berra does for scotland doesn't bother me in the slightest, its what he does for wolves that counts for me.
He's not the only one in our squad either
Bloody typical another case of my Scottish work colleague shaking his head in disbelief at me then on Monday morning?
Although admittedly he actually said he didn't blame Iwelumo at all for the Norway miss.
At the moment our best defender....FACT
This was a thread born out of a slow saturday, I've not got an agenda against Berra or anything stupid like that
Well with due respect it should do as the two things are obvious linked.
For example when Chris Iwelumo missed the famous "sitter" playing for Scotland it certainly affected his form playing for us afterwards.
Same thing for Berra. If it is generally accepted that he did well for Scotland against Japan it can only have a positive affect on his playing for us.
I was hoping Doyle would get on the score sheet against Italy for the same reason but unfortunately it was not to be.
Yes. Six goals in the nine games after that miss is a shocking return.
Separate names with a comma.
