Since the debacle away to Brentford, away from home in the league we've played five, won four and drawn one. And three of those were against sides in the top half of the table.

Getting 13 points out of 15 is an incredible turn around given how low confidence must have been after the fashion of our defeats in November. Well done to Kenny and the team for turning things around. I felt like we may freefall down the table after that awful run of form, but we're still fighting to make the play-offs. Bloody proud of them tonight.

I concur; however I await the inevitable 'imagine how good we'd be if we'd signed a gazillion players' on deadline day comments though.

I think our game and pace on the counter is more suited to the away games where teams are expected to take the game to us.

Its when teams come and setup to be difficult to break down at home we seem struggle.

We are far far better away from home because there is space to exploit and with our pace it is clear that is where our strength is. I think we can well establish right now we are not this "tika taka, possession" style side. We are a very good counter attacking team which for me explains why we often fall short at home.

Yep, that's the nub of it. We were set up today to counter with pace and it worked well. The tactic doesn't work well at home against teams sitting back though. Great victory and bounce back from Sat. Still need to find a plan B at home though.

As I alluded to on my CMF thread we need a Champs version of Fabregas or Silva or Cazorla who can break down defences, esp at home where this is now a major problem. There must be players out there, perhaps in Scotland or overseas who could come in on loan and do a job?

+1.......The way we are set up suits away games far better than home games when we have to make the game and the opposition sit back and wait for mistakes. Away from home we do the same....and profit from it..

Thats a great run away from home & whilst you have to ride your luck sometimes when playing away we have probably deserved the points from all except Bolton.

The only difference today was the finishing, I don't expect Hooper, Grabben or Jerome to be as wasteful.

This for me too. I'm not surprised anymore when we do win away.

Does anybody think Molineux has anything to do with it too?

Definitely agree with those saying Wolves game is better suited to away games.

In fact I find away games are more enjoyable for many reasons nowadays.

Always have been more enjoyable. Better atmosphere and usually involves lots of beers, which is good! It also feels better to win away than it does at home IMO.

Know what you mean but I enjoy all games usually but have found home games of late leave a lot to be desired.
