What did people think of him? I thought he was always a threat and is someone I wouldn't mind us targeting as a loan signing in the summer to be honest.

Agreed, has pace, aggression, started like a train but ran out of steam, understandable as he 's not up to match stamina.

I couldn't make yesterdays game JW but from what I heard on TV and what I've read since the game he sounded a decent player but obviously difficult to assess any player after 1 game.

However he does seem to fit in with the way Wolves are going about player signings so a loan signing 1st seems reasonable.

Would he be made available? Even for loan as stated above?

According to his Wiki page , he is yet to score a senior goal ! four games with Brentford, six with Coventry, four with Arsenal , Forest one. Why the hype ?

That's the big question that only his club would know the answer to Dews. Suppose a lot would depend on how they felt about the possibility of another of their promising young players ending up at Wolves.

Thought he was Forest's best player first half, faded as the game went on though, as the supply to him dried up. First time I'd seen him, thought he was quite strong, bit of pace about him, and was happy to chase down 'lost causes' during the first half. Not the finished article by any means, but looked good.

He'll be allowed out on loan next year. Would love us to be in for him.

Afobe, Dicko and Akpom would be a fantastic set of options.

Would make a fascinating front four if we could get Ince in as well :goodnight:

Better than mine but I was expecting Sako to be gone unfortunately with Thomas Ince as his possible replacement

Could be another Afobe but, like Afobe in his current age he lacks composure. I would rather look at a different option, like a Target man or sombody that can play between the lines then another Power and pace striker. Need sombody that can change the game a little. What I would do for Sam Vokes.

Really? I know everyone's allowed their own opinion & obviously this is yours but I believe football is heading away from the "lump it up to the target man" kind of play. Burnley are fighting for their Premier League life & (my opinion obviously) this is a testament to it

With Doyle gone to MLS we'll need another striker, I'd love to see us go after Alex Pritchard in the summer though Tring...

Absolutely. From what I've read, Spurs would want £3m plus for him. I could see him rejoining Sherwood at Villa.

Would we go for an 'old fashioned centre forward'? Doesn't suit our normal style though if we wanted a plan Z of lumping the ball forward perhaps.
Akpom however seems to tick all the boxes for our current recruitment. Would be a good acquisition in this league.
So does Ince actually except for the vital one of cost. If Hull get relegated and we don't go up then I suppose there's an outside chance but doubt it.

I wouldn't go for an old fashioned centre forward. All about the pace, for me, with this squad.

Dicko and Afobe are good at that I'm not sure that we need another similar player. Someone able to capitalise on crosses would seem wise given that we have good wingers

A big lump of a centre forward with limited mobility wouldn't suit the way we play at all. What we need is a new number 10 and a left sided winger.

Disagree. Another striker with pace and power who can head the ball anyway, as Afobe and Dicko both can.
Pace against tiring legs always a great option to have. Really don't want a carthorse down here.

That young lad we were after earlier in the season may be the sort of striker we need IMO.

If you have wingers let them cross it into a big guy to head it into the net. Whats the point of having 3 strikers all the same strengths and weaknesses. What is the point, you can't change the game with subs. We need another option. If that's a big lump upfront or a guy that can play inbetween the lines and play back to goal.

It's why Chelsea have Costa and Drogba (similar types) then have Remy to change the game with Pace and being more direct.

Clicked on this hoping there was some tenuous link, anyway to answer the OPs question Yes!

This sort of striker, a powerful pacey striker but with ability on the ball, is exactly what you need in the modern game.

Would be over the moon with him on loan with a view to making it permanent however I think Sanogo would be the more likely to leave given the lack of impact he's made at palace - maybe Afobe could have a word.

After getting Afobe wonder if Arsenal would want to let another striker join Wolves?

Akpom will be a very good player, in my opinion. He will do well, on loan at a championship club, this coming season.

Wrong about what? Still yet yo score a first team goal. As friendly don't count. Sanogo looked good in preseason verses terrible teams.

He could become a good player but doesn't mean he will this season and him becoming good doesn't mean anything to us. We don't have him under contract.
