    Whatever....
Although I do hope that Costs finds his old form. But what do I know, I was sure that Leo would bounce back.

@VancouverWolf I love the way you use the word fact & factual twice in your comments lol..
After I put up Adama 9/10 near man of match performance against Spurs. that was more like fact! Trying to convince yourself but no way Jose with me! At least you're honest at admitting you're a Adama Traore basher. Still sad to see you've given up on him already at such an early time in his Wolves career. That's not supporting our players or our team at all??
Btw, I put up two of those 6 threads you mention about AT one was a poll that the mods took down for some reason?? I asked " Who you prefer on the Right of 3 up top Costa or Traore". After a few days Adama had over twice as many votes as Helder.

I thought he worked very hard against Shrewsbury and did really well - especially second half.
He can be frustrating and lose the ball 4 out of 5 times but then he can create a goal from nothing.
I think he's an exiting player to have in our squad and I hope he continues to improve and do well for us.
Without him we'd be out of the cup and a few points worse off in the league.

Jay Jay.....your comment "9/10 near man of match performance against Spurs. that was more like fact!"....that not a fact...that's opinion.
Surely you understood that I wasn't trying to convince myself.....in fact has any human being ever convinced themselves of anything, ever?
    I doubt it.
I was never a Traore basher....but I have been critical but never a basher,.... last time I heard that schoolboy term was in the Beano....The Bash Street Kids ........maybe the Dandy.
I agree with you that its sad I have given up on Traore.
As for your poll......I don't care. In politics or wherever, polls don't impress me.....why would they?

As for my use of the word fact or factual.....really?...that amuses you?

You said yourself the fact is you think Traore is lazy?
Lol, if that's the case we would not be in the FA Cup now and still in with a chance of winning it this year, Thanks to his lazy 90 minutes in first match and 77 lazy minutes when he came off shattered in replay. Are you blind or something.. Hows he been lazy in two matches there??
The 9/10 opinion btw against Spurs was not opinion by me that was the express and star and many other fans agreed there also..
So you seem to be in the minority with your OTT criticism of a very valuable player in our great squad mate!
Just to remind you again from E&S not me..
    Adama Traore
The express train is back! It's been a while, but Traore being played in his preferred position yielded, lo and behold, a Traore-like performance. Picked the ball up from deep and ran at defenders in that madcap, slightly unhinged style of his that brings back memories of Jonah Lomu at the 1995 World Cup. Spurs' defence didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so they mostly tried to foul him. Floated over a couple of really nice crosses and slipped in a few teasing through balls that on another day would have yielded an assist or two. Most of all, though, he set the tone for what was to follow after his unfortunate departure (with a tight hamstring) with a fearless, up-and-at-them approach. 9/10

I won’t go into the flaws I see in Traore. I’ve done that many times before and don’t see the point of repetition.
As I said I’ve given up on him and if I am the only one, who cares anyway?
I didn’t see the last game but if he had a good game, then great. I want you to be right and me wrong about Traore.
In the meantime I am indifferent which is a pity because we all had so hopes when he signed.

Why do we have to have any wind up merchants on this, or any thread? I come on here to learn things, to discuss things in an adult way and at times to be provocative but never to wind people up. Threads that degenerate into a 2 people argument are just boring and extremely self-indulgent. Please, for the sake of the others, stop it.

Garry Thompson or Nuno who’s opinion matters?

And he’s clearly not watch Adama much seeing as you can already see he’s a different player to the one who joined.

Not at all. I just don’t see why an article about what an ex Villa player thinks matters.

Just putting it out there as seems to accord with the opinion stated by some posters about his "football" brain.

Interesting that Costa, who has been virtually universally criticised on here of late, is usually Nuno's first choice as a sub, does he know what he's doing?;)

No Mr Wolf Wrong! You missed out the type of person like the main man Nuno with many of the Wolves staff and supporters like me..
"That know for sure Adama Traore with his talent & skills at his young age, will come good "
Keep cool calm and patient you doubting Thomas's
Btw..I couldn't give a flying **** about these Wums on this forum it's their problem not mine :D
PS. That's why when Middlesbrough FC approached Wolves in January transfer window to have Adama back on loan. Nuno told them straight away to **** off or words to that effect :D Showing he has complete faith in Adama to come good or maybe even great :D

I remain genuinely excited by Traore. I was stood by a guy in the South Bank grumbling about him all game, when in my view he was the only threatening player of the front three (and I know Cav scored the winner with a sublime goal but his general touch, control and runs were rusty). The left back was toast in a way I don’t recall seeing since Jarvis used to stand them up and go either way with a 3 yard burst of pace and put the ball on Fletcher’s head.

Will he be frustrating? Yes, I wish he moved into space more and made more runs (can you imagine him running onto a pass like Jota’s 2nd against Leicester?) and I wish he was on his toes not his heels (again Jota’s 1st goal vs Leicester).

But the buzz, the roar as he breaks down the wing or dashes past the defender. As a Wolves fan we have a long history of exciting wingers.

In a 3 up front I would always play Traore ahead of Cav and Costa on the right now. That wasn’t the case at the start of the season.

Question I’d ask is would you prefer him playing for us or against us on Monday? I know the answer - as said by Neves in the interview - I want him on our side.

Let’s get behind him, Cav (quality finisher) and Costa (needs mojo back but remember Spurs goal, Man Utd away as examples of his talent in Premier League).

    UTW.

Good comparison with Jarvis who actually couldn’t strike a ball for me. Shift it 3 yards & get a cross in got him a big money move.

Troare when used correctly like Spurs away is a very good outlet.

I love Adama but that’s a bit of a lucky assist.

The big thing though is that he consistently looks to be positive and take players on.

    Always makes things happen.

He, indeed, played well v Spurs and since then has had a couple of assists without having had much game time. Perhaps he's turning a corner.

Best of the three subs again despite playing 15 less minutes. Even aside from that cross which was a fluke.

The chance before the goal where Moutinho (?) put him through, and he took that poor touch, slowed the play down, then didn't think quickly enough to play Cav (?) through for 1 v 1... I nearly ripped the TV off the wall.

Great shanked cross for Boly goal, love it :D

Glad for him to get the assist though, he should be coming on before Costa as things stand.

At the moment I think he’s learning to look for a pass rather than just bombing forward and sometimes like Cav incident he gets caught in two minds. Hopefully it’s something that will come with Nuno’s coaching.

    Yeah, an assist!

(With the worst, most speculative punt across the park that ever went 100ft up in the air)

    I’m sold, he’s ****ing ace.

Just think back of what he was involved in. Assist, ran through, 2 shots, beat the full-back.

Then think of Costa's involvement in more time.

Okay, the cross is bad and the assist lucky but there's such a difference in the threat and how much they want to be involved.

Quite alarming that Nuno puts Costa on ahead of him tbh.

No shank or speculative punt. He looked up twice and floated over a perfect cross to Boly far post. Just like he did last minute for Doc against Shewsbury. BY NO COINCIDENCE! Adama has been working on it with Nuno for the team. Give the guy credit you doubters that no **** all about the beautiful game. Also what about the cross that he laid on a plate for Raul middle six yard box' that he headed wide..As soon as Adama came on he injected new life into the team when Newcastle were in the ascendancy and Wolves looked beaten. Adama was only on for last 10 minutes+ . Compare his threat in 10 minutes to Cav & Costa's 20 minutes??

His first involvement IIRC correctly led to the sitter that Jimenez missed with his head, and he set up the goal with what looked like a wildly overhit ball at first. He's unpredictable, but in his preferred position down the right, he is actually predictable in his productivity. Has to be ahead of Costa and Cav for me, if we do go 5-2-3.

Having got back now and watched it again on TV, it's clear that the ball bobbles as Adama is about to cross it, so, no way can he be blamed for the cross, which of course, turned out to be perfect.

Absolute madness how Costa is still getting more minutes ahead of him, just makes no sense. Not perfect by any means but at least he has a go and is a clear threat.

A very positive and impactful cameo again from Adama. I absolutely love his bravery on the ball. He constantly tries to make something happen and we looked a far bigger threat once he came on. If you watch the goal back, the ball takes a bobble as he's about to cross it, and yes whilst fortunate in terms of where it ended up, was deserved for his courage to take on his man effortlessly and get it in. Really, really like him. I just hope he doesn't lose his confidence through agenda driven idiots criticising his every move.

I disagree with all you Adama critics but I love being a Wolves fan, I love our Molmix community and I love the debate and disagreement because football, like art, is subjective. I’m old enough to recognize that we are living thru the most incredible days right now. I feel like we are splitting hairs because we are so good at the moment and Adama has a few obvious shortcomings (that I forgive). I love having him on our team and he honestly looks a little happier now than when he first arrived.
