should really see off one of blues or reading:), 5 more straight league wins v doncaster, sheff united, blackpool, preston and bristol city should set us up nicely for the night game at the majesksi on the 27th !

o yes and a good win for our b team in the cup would be a knife through the hearts of the blue noses.:D

They're certainly all winnable games Dr, but I'd be amazed if we were to achieve the 7-game feat for a third time this season. Stranger things have happened, however!

If we were to do it, what a coincidence it would be that we would face Reading at the end of it. First Reading, then Blues, then Reading again - I guess the gods don't want us to ever get eight wins in a row.

Life's a bitch. A few runs of 3 in a row would do me.

Interesting molineux man and when do we actually play Blues again? Could we totally repeat the sequence? Not that I'm saying we'll lose to Reading & Blues second time around, just enquiring.

Yes it could happen again. We would have a four game span after the Reading game, and then the sequence of seven would be:

    Wolves v Cardiff - winnable
    Wolves v Plymouth - winnable
Crystal Palace v Wolves - winnable
Sheff Wed v Wolves - winnable
    Wolves v Ipswich - winnable
    Wolves v Charlton - winnable
Nottm Forest v Wolves - winnable

    Followed by Blues.

Actually that two match sequence of Forest away, then Blues away, puts chills up my spine. It was those two games, in that order, both away, at the same time of the year, that signalled the start of the end in the choke year - we drew both games 2-2 after being in winning positions. And that was straight after a seven match winning run...

  8. 4th April, 12 games after Reading, so yes we could indeed repeat the sequence. We'd need to beat Cardiff (h), Plymouth (h), Palace (a), Sheff Wed (a), Ipswich (h), Charlton (h) Forest (a).

So tricky but certainly we could be on a run of 7 wins. Especially as we play Burnley away before that run, so quite possible we could draw/lose the lsat game before the Cardiff game.

an advantage of losing in the cup though would mean an empty saturday at the end of january which would give us a 10 day preparatory run-up to the reading game

IF we were to win 7 on the bounce again then IMO we'd see off both...

Lads, ladies, this is crazy talk, one game at a time, we are really running away with ourselves here. We will do well to beat Donny on Saturday, lets look no further than that just yet.

Agreed if we were to look at all the matches we have played this season we would have probably given a different outcome almost every time at the beginning of the season. These teams fear us far more than we should fear them, respect yes but we should be just taking one game at a time. That is how we get promoted this thread plaints to bleak a picture against the realities, we are not into the supernatural here.
