  2. some great quotes from Hoddle there. If he wanted to talk up George's confidence he couldn't have done it better.

And so, as Michael Owen's career appears to stall in Madrid the lengthy shadow of Super George hoves into view. Peckham could end up being right![IMG]

GH should be impressed too - a fully fit Ndah would be a massive boost. Reckon he's even quicker than the rat and you just cannot question his loyalty to the club - especially given how well the club has stood by him.

AND he knows where the goal is.

Hoddle was right when he said that George and Vio were like 2 new signings for him. Their awaited return must put some pressure on Cort, Miller and Seol as well, which can only be a good thing.

  7. lot of doubting thomas' on this board as to whether he'll even play 5
games this season. it all looks promising - fingers crossed because he
could be a major asset (to quote glenn).on a similar tip - i wonder when glenn is expecting vio to be contending for a first team place

as I said, without a manager who risks GN's career for the sake of his job, and one who understands that medical advice is better left to the experts, GN will flourish this season. I'll save my 'I told you so's' til he makes a major impact although it is a case of when rather than if IMHO.

  9. I really have everything crossed for George - he is certainly due a bit of luck. Same applies for Vio actually.

Bloody hell what a forward line we could have in this division

I truley hope that George plays a big part in the coming season as there is no doubting his ability.

It's just that watching himon Saturday I was reminded again at how painfully thin his legs are!!! They're certainly not footballers legs, a strong breeze and you get the impression that they would snap!!

The same could be said of Peter Crouch, and he's not doing too badly at the moment.

Neither had George, at that age. He was pretty much injury-free at Palace and Swindon.

But he's not that age though is he??

But moving on it was just an observation. Here's hoping that George has an injury free season and wades in with twenty goals!!
