I know there has already been one World cup fantasy football league started on here already, and there also wasn't that many takers but I've done a different one anyhow because the other one is REALLY complicated game play.

I hate all the red tops and the Sun is one of the worst but their dream team game is always pretty good. It"s free and simple to play. I've created a mini league for mol mix if anyone fancies it (I know it's late in the day).

    The league code is:

Although the Sun one is always good I actually struggled to spend the money!

I picked my side and ended up with £10m left ... so upgraded my defenders and goalkeeper and still have £1m left and my side is an absolute worldy!

The first one was hard ... that’s what makes a good Dream Team in my opinion.

I've joined, always makes watching games other than England more fun when you've got other players to cheer on.

Out of interest, what part of it did you fine 'REALLY complicated'? It's the same format as any fantasy football, it was just tricky to pick the team financially, but that makes it more competitive.

I don't have a problem with any fantasy football team being financially tricky, that's a level playing field for all.

But with regards my 'really complicated' remark, perhaps I should substitute that comment with 'too labour intensive'. That would be a better discription of my feelings about this particular version of fantasy football, loads of transfers and loads of substitutions throughout the game. Plus bench boosts ffs. Another comment I would make is it helps entrants who picked a rubbish team initially by offering 'unlimited transfers' at the round of 16 stage. Thereby bringing back in rubbish entrants who should have been ko'd from the tournament already. It's a one month knock out tournament after all.

It's not necessasarily complicated, it just keeps players who started with a w*nk team intetested for the sake of people viewing their website, in this case, namely McDonalds.

I hate Red tops in general and I REALLY hate the Sun, and haven't bought a copy of their **** paper for over 20 years. But I admit to regularly playing their Dream Team game as it's the best format. Flexibility to make subtle changes to your team as the tournament/league goes on but no blatant get-out-of-free caveats that the McDonalds version has just to keep in the tournament and looking at a McDonalds banner everyday.

This McDonalds version of wc fantasy football offers an amnesty after the group stage by offering 'unlimited transfers'.

Ffs, it's a five week knock out tournament. If you're out you're out.

That said, I still entered this version and got 14 points on day one. But the f-inn site wow let me see who's top of the league!

    Peace x

Appreciate your post, thanks! You make some very good points. And I definitely agree the bench boosts are annoying.
I'll sign up for the sun version aswell to see, unless it's too late for me for this round of fixtures

I'm doing one at work so if you can join two then I'll chuck my team in too.

I'm 2nd in my WC work league and won the FF for the season just gone.
