Ruben Neves has 'no interest' in leaving Wolves
Bit about Colin calling Nuno too
Very smart young man, and I'm not just saying that as a Wolves fan.
Interesting to note that he anticipated that he might be in the championship for 2 years
Very reassuring headline. I can relax for today!
He's right too. Why move on to another more established club where he might only play half of the games? Here if he is fit, he will play. That is what he needs at this stage of his career.
My missus can have Neves' babies for all i care
He’s a bright lad.
Takes one to know one, eh Brighty!!!
Knew he would be going nowhere this summer. He will know the ambition of the club and the type of players we will be bringing in.
Great news to read that, he is very level-headed.
And he is right, he is only young and yes we have to accept he might well move to bigger things if he continues to thrive.
He clearly loves it here, which is important too.
And I think he might just love Wolves a bit.
Linked to Milan today. Just going to refuse to acknowledge anything saying he's leaving and pretend everything is rosy. I want my Adidas PL Neves shirt god dammit!
Another good year here where he will be the main man and the world is his oyster. Seems a decent level headed chap. Not bad at football too
Everything IS rosy as far as Ruben is concerned. I'm the worst Wolves related pessimist and am sure you'll be able to buy your shirt. Relax and enjoy all the reports saying he's leaving and opposing fans getting their hopes up. He's not.
He's exactly right with what he says, he's got the attention of the big boys, and deservedly so but moving now would represent a gamble with one of the most important years in his career. He's just had his first season of being a regular first team starter, he needs another one now and the best place for him to get that is where he already is
Missed out on a WC place! Very surprised

Ruben Neves has missed out on a place in the Portugal squad for the World Cup
Don't know whether to be happy or sad over this!
Feel sad for the lad certainly, would have been the icing on the cake for him, and we want him to feel he can fulfil all his ambitions, for club and country, at Wolves
But we'll just have to focus on the positives and he'll be fit and firing ready for pre-season!
Great news that Ruben is happy to stay for next season. It's very unusual that a 21 year old footballer shows such maturity. I am disappointed for him that he has missed out on the World Cup because there is no doubt in my mind that he could have been an absolute star. On the plus side he gets to have a good rest after a long season and its less likely that he could become unsettled by mixing with other players.
Always thought it would be likely he would stay for at least 1 more season, and for exactly those reasons, but great to hear the words straight from the lad.
Unlike some of the rather average players that have left us over time, don’t think anyone can genuinely begrudge Ruben moving on to bigger things in the near future.
He’s destined for the very top, and while that might be our eventual aim, he deserves to be in a regular late stage champions league side within the next couple of years.
He can certainly be disappointed on not making the international squad, but I’m personally very happy about missing all those injury opportunities.
Shame for Ruben missing out on the WC squad, but hopefully he has a good break with his family.
Amazingly level headed and mature for such a young age. We've seen plenty of players over the years go to a big club and sit on the bench and their career ends up stalling big time. Sensible decision to carry on developing and know you'll play every week.
I am sure he will be at the top in a few years, one way or another!.
I genuinely think we would have to at least scrape into Europa league, by cup or lwhatever, to have any chance of keeping him more than 1 season though.
Can’t see that’s likely, but not impossible.
I don’t think that would be unfair to either party. Being able to offer him European football and a wage hike would be a fair offer if he has anything like this season in the prem.
(Would have to anyway for that to happen )
As well as continuing to upgrade the squad to show him we want to be at the top.
However no matter how much we improve, Manchester United and the likes of Liverpool still have that allure to turn Neves head.
Oh yeah I agree.
Don’t see him being here after the coming season. But the above would be about the minimum to have any kind of chance of him staying another one thereafter.
Its up to Wolves to surround him with similar quality players and match his ambitions, I'm sure they will.
