Stephen Fletcher making head lines again
Daily Mail Lambo
What a great guy. .....
1 incident spitting on the back of his driver and abusing him when drunk
1 tabloid story of him texting pictures of himself to a bar girl
7 goals in 2 seasons for Sunderland and now rubbing the fans' noses in it.
didnt realise hed only scored 7 goals in 2 years !!
We saw the best of him, for sure!
fletcher looked top class when he was playing here with matt Jarvis but look whats happened to them since leaving us. success in terms of cash in the bank but not much as far as football goes. £22m we got for an initial outlay of £7m from their respective sales, that was an excellent return. but why do managers buy them then they don't get in the team. probably the answer is their on easy street with beauty queens and super sports cars and football goes out of the window.
He has a one-year-old daughter, so he has scored 8 times in 2 years
Fletcher's struggled with injury and let's face it Sunderland's problems probably lie elsewhere than their strikers given the number they've had that have all struggled in their team.
Jarvis has paid the price for West Ham's change of formation and probably that Carroll has struggled with injury as he would have certainly been brought in with a view of putting crosses on Carroll's head.
I'd still have them back here in a heartbeat talentwise but I'd have concerns over Fletcher's attitude.
Assume nothing in life.
Living the dream, nice motor - good luck to him. Team game I believe, put him in a better more organised side and he'll pop it in the net. There'll be no shortage of clubs wanting him if they get relegated ( if he can get consistent fitness ).
I still think he'd do really well at Arsenal.
Depends where they want to go, he'd be good back up for Giroud but I'd say they should be aiming for an improvement on Giroud.
Are you saying it was a grudge baby?
Someone had it in for him :goodnight:
Him and Jarvis aren't being used correctly.
Fletcher is a complete tit, but you can't take it with you, can't blame him for spending the extortionate wages he receives.
I don't! Injuries and the good life have taken its toll.
He's paid an extortionate amount as are all prem league footballers can spent it on what he wants I guess no different to anyone else.
He's had injuries and been out for long spells, but can't single him out for Sunderland struggling probably do well elsewhere.
Poor attitude though as we found out wouldn't particularly want him back
Agreed - if he hadn't spent it on a car he'd still have the same amount of money either in the bank or lavished on something else.
As you've pointed out the issue is the extortionate wages paid to often very average players not what they choose to spend it on.
football fans abit naive i think didnt think premier league footballers buy flash motors on their high wages.
fair play too them for getting these high wages the clubs are willing to pay it and living the dream.
jealous you bet i am

Apparently the picture is only out due to the fact the company wanted to use it for advertising, so it is none of his doing.
After the way he behaved when he left us, he is dead to me.
Cobblers. Its him doing the big I am.
Bentley and a Lambo,he "only" had an Audi R8 when he was here.
If people subscribe to Sky, then they are paying for cars like this! It's a re-distribution of wealth from the poor to the richest, yet it's fans choosing to do this.
My thoughts exactly , maybe Mick got the best out of them.........Moxey out
Injury prone. Not his fault
Meanwhile Afobe has eight in two MONTHS
We all know what Prem players earn - we help to pay their wages! How he spends his money is up to him - don't see why all the fuss?
I have to agree. Green eyed monster syndrome me thinks
His agent is blaming the company that sold him the car for putting the picture up.
Wouldn't they need to have asked Fletcher's permission before doing that sort of thing?
Customers who buy high end luxury vehicles don't generally appreciate their faces being spread all over the press when they do so.
