What a time to announce it haha
Thanks for the memories Kev. I truly loved him when we first got promoted, he was brilliant for us.
I'm sure he'll be given a good sending off in his last game.
All the best Kevin, you've been a great servant for the club!
Doyle signs for Colorado Rapids
Gutted. Where are all our goals going to come from now!
His appearance today makes sense now.
Good luck Doyler.
So was tonight his last game?
Good luck Doyler and watch out for the post on the way out
With us the rest of the season he's basically signed a pre contract to start on July 1st.
He'll probably fall on his $$$$ as he gets on the plane and miss his flight.
Good luck to him. I have no problem with what he has done for us compared to others.
Good move for him. Nice place for him and his family to end his career.
Deserves it after his efforts for us in those first two years.
Good luck Doyler. Brilliant for us until April 2011 then sadly nothing else really from him since.
Well pleased for Kevin, he was a good player for us a while back and he behaves like a professional, Iwish him all the best .
Some need to show a bit of class when he is clearly being put out to pasture.....we all know he is shot and has been for quite some time.
Good luck Doyle, enjoy your time in the States. While we all remember his one man heroics in the PL, I was reminded on the coach to the Brighton game, that he played his part at the start of last season, netting a few goals in the process. A shadow of his old self, but still played an important part partnering Griffiths.
He'll be back in the UK in 12 months
Bye Bye Kevin.
How can you miss a flight if you're on a flight?
Classy and dignified, but pointed. If we could have seen his attitude in a few of these other nomarks we might not have ended up in the mess we did.
Griffiths and Doyle. That seems like a lifetime ago.
Perhaps he could trip over, and by accident fall, and trigger the emergency exit, and fall down that.
You never know.
Great memories and always professional. Best wishes Doyler
I think you need to re-read what I said.
If he falls on his $$$$ as he gets on the plane, then he's not actually on the plane - so it can depart without him :willy:
I'll wish him well & thank him for the playoff final goal that will send us back to the premier league
See you at BMO Field Kevin.
His interview on the move..
Great bloke and great servant!
Thanks for that 18 months Doyler ... A bit of a shame about the rest of your handsomely paid time here. Good luck.
Loved him and still do. Great bloke and all the best
Top bloke. Has shown the right level of respect for the club and the fans. He was immense at times in the prem without being prolific.
I wish him all the very best.
It's a strange mixture of feelings for me. Relief that the old guard, and that link to those calamatous 2 seasons, has finally gone but tinged with sadness for those couple of seasons where he really was excellent.
Usually when a player goes it's disappointment or relief, its a strange halfway house with regard to Doyle, for me anyway.
So we can use his wage now to offer sako a better deal....
Nicely put. Last few seasons have generally been disappointing as was the motivation quote last year but generally handled some difficult times well. Goals have dried up but he always gives 100% and was fantastic for a season and a half. Enjoy semi retirement Kevin.
That interview typifies Doyle for me. Top man, top professional.
Just seen a Kevin Doyle goal
On Soccer am now, he is a very nice guy
best of luck to him thanks for the memories especially that PL season
