Loaned to Blackpool with 28 day recall clause apparently...
He will sink on that pitch
If he manages to play well on that pitch well done to him.
The squad is starting to look very thin. Surely someone is in the pipeline?
Hopefully indicates someone coming in loan. Box to box centre mid ideally
Your eternal optimism does you great credit!
Indeed it does, there will be nobody coming in, unless it is another youth type player!
Jackett essentially said one in one out. Fingers crossed.
Good luck to Jacobs - he needs to prove himself at this level after being let go by both Derby and Wolves now. Clearly something is missing - i'm confident it isn't ability. We'll see how we progresses. Guaranteed game time at least.
Can't see getting battered with Blackpool and getting relegated is going to do his confidence much good! Fingers crossed this means someone is coming in.. Though I won't hold my breath.
I suppose some game time is better than nothing-his confidence could improve significantly such that he may become a useful part of our squad, or, alternatively, other clubs may want to sign him if we decide to get rid. I am not holding my breath either!

Good luck to @mjacobs18 who has joined @BlackpoolFC on emergency loan until the end of the season
Blackpool said they were planning life in league one
To much presume he's off to Blackpool perm in summer? As if not strange move on their part
So since January is that Jacobs Saville Clarke and McAlinden out and just Afobe in?(Please don't say Harris too) added to Rowe permanently injured and Samuel not even being considered. We haven't got many back up options now.
He needs some footballing time, but surely getting roasted every week with Blackpool is gonna do his confidence no favours!
I don't understand this. I agree he hasn't been great in his opportunities this season but in the same timeframe neither was Henry, he's eventually proved himself, why not Jacobs?
Surely someone is coming in?
Squad very thin on numbers now.
One of the smallest squads in the league.
Such ashame. Hasn't been given a chance in his true position and also seems poorly managed. Didn't he come out lastt year and say he had confidence problems at champ level? I'm not sure why coaching staff haven't been working hard at getting him up to speed, as he has all the technical ability required but just seems poorly managed.
Straight swap with O'Hara then :goodnight:
Absolutely the opposite - they have managed to get many of the fans backs up.
A real shame. To me his absence is as big a mystery as Price's was earlier this season. I rate him and I think he has been played, on the very rare occasions when he has been, out of his natural position, which is No 10.
Both had timing issues apparently.
Good luck to him. Hopefully he goes out, gets some much needed match fitness and comes back as the silky little player with a great leap on him we had last year!
They play Bournemouth tomorrow... a few goals and a few assists would go down well Michael! And tell Agent O'Hara to pull his finger out
Suspect the method is in the madness. He needs toughening up. Major disappointment for me this season as I initially rated him.
i tweeted him asking him to say hello to Jamie from all of us
Hopefully he can go there and make an impact with a run of games but the pitch and blackpools lack of quality will be against him.
Shame he couldn't have got a move to one of the other clubs around the bottom.
Wish him all the best and hope he does well. For me Blackpool are doomed so not convinced moving to a club in such a dire position will be much of a confidence booster but if he could do well in a terrible side then good news.
Jacobs, Saville, Clarke,Cassidy, Macalinden if these guys were in the squad and were a part of our 2014/15 season plans then if not deemed good enough why only one replacement ? Afobe.
I am glad we are moving these guys out but they needed replacing. Otherwise it is just more cost cutting.
Just made comment on the loan thread wwbug highlight how the club have let lots out on loan yet not boosted the squad.
If players aren't up to what's needed then fully agree with you and move them on but surely it can't make any sense, other than money saving, to keep reducing the squad size at this stage of the season and not seemingly doing anything to improve it?
Hope it works out for him he will definitely get game time but like others have said being battered week in week out might not be for the best. I liked the look of him last season and thought he would be a good asset to the squad but it hasn't worked for the lad
Great minds......... Pity WWFC don't employ a few more . Or do they ?
Cassidy is often on the bench for Southend and I am not sure he has scored yet!
You could add Ishmael, Siggy, and Margrietar to that list.
However back to Jacobs, he is a player who i have a lot of time for, had a poor game against Northampton but so did most other players in the Team that day. In other fleeting appearances mainly as sub and out of position he didnt play well, yet we gave game time to Sagbo and Graham who were a darn sight worse, i remember KJs comments when we signed Sagbo he said we wanted a player who could go straight into the Team, a player who was match fit, a few days later he wasnt playing because he was deemed NOT match fit. As for Jacobs i feel he has been unfairly treated by KJ in just the same way Price was until we had that dreadful run back in November. Now here we are with a born again Kevin Doyle a striker who doesnt score while Jacobs goes out on loan, better Doyle went to Blackpool and Jacobs gets game time in his favoured position, altogether another KJ mystery as with Price and Siggy who has been discarded and wrote off, he is another KJ has deemed to be worse than Sagbo and Graham.
