Has turned down a new contract.
Tbh he has looked awful every time I have seen him play for the under 21's so it would be no great loss.
We should have had it sorted ages ago.
For every Robbie Keane there are 20 Adam Proudlocks, Nathan Rooneys, Darren Roberts' etc etc
Who does he think he is? Good riddance
He seems like a player who hates the idea of being second choice. Bright will leapfrog him soon if he already hasn't.
I know nothing about him beyond that like so many others he was promising, almost on the fringes of making the first team, but seems to have got no closer. However this might just be a contract negotiation presumably?
what a ridiculous statement! Do you even know when we started contract talks with him? How do you know he's not been sat on the offer for months and has only now said he doesn't want it.
If we rated the player maybe we could have initiated negotiations many months ago.
My bet is that he would have been out of the team a long time ago if we had and he had stalled on it.
If he was any cop I assume we would be trying to keep him.... Does he reckon he is better than he is?
Let's hope sense prevails. If he is no good, let him go. For every Robbie Keane there is a Jake Cassidy.
But you don't know, so why criticise?
also he has been out of the team for some time hasn't he? I don't remember reading his name on an u21s report for a while
It is fairly clear why he hasn't been in the team.
Nobody knows the facts either way but we can all have our views on the situation.
I wondered why he wasn't featuring for u21's.
Simple, if he doesnt want to be here, let him jump into the first Taxi that comes along, bye bye.
Well it isn't that clear if it is based on opinion?!
I look forward to the game in the future, (Bristol City probably) where Kieta (sp, really can't be arsed to check if it's right) gets off the bench and scores a consolation goal against us and MM goes into meltdown as to why we should have kept him before he goes onto league 2 obscurity.
PS good luck in the future, hope you make it.
Showed early potential, but has failed to deliver just like most of the u21's this season
To be fair, Iorfa and Hause have stepped up
Is it fair to say that bar the guys who have stepped up this season the U21 side are pretty much the same team as last season and the bulk of youngsters bought in are U18 who seem to be doing better
Yes, U18s looking much better, so may be a couple of seasons before we see any more stepping up to the first team
Wolves won't play him till he sorts his head out and pledges allegiance to the cause.
must be true its in the express & star why is our local paper so anti wolves
why are they anti wolves as you put it,its a local paper and are sharing information.if they did not put anything regarding wolves in the paper.you would all be saying. Why is are local paper not reporting on are local football club.i just dont get what you mean, unless i have missed something,if thats the case then i'm sorry.
for me its just the way they report on wolves so anti but hey ho thats my thoughts
I think the likes of OHanlon, Hunte, Eusebio, Graham and Wilson could be challenging very soon.
The thing is, I'd have put Keita on that list as well. Wasn't he on the first team bench a couple of times not so long ago?
For me, it seems more like the problem is with the player himself, attitude problems maybe, has got a bit big for his boots, rather than being cut loose as not good enough. Just speculating though
Does anyone know him to form an opinion he is Billy big boots?
All we know really is that the club have offered him a new contract so they must still want him or at least rate him. We know he has turned this contract down but we dont know why. Or it may be his agent acting in his best interest.
Alright, completely ignore my comment, I had a complete brain freeze and forgot that he had actually turned down a contract offer (ie the whole point of the thread) and was commenting as if the situation was he wasn't being offered a new one.
Sorry, extremely hungover
Lets hope our boys aren't this afternoon.
He's set to leave us this summer
You cant blame him with the 100 quid a week on the table offered by Jez. Seems we want to bring young players through but aren't prepared to pay the rising stars
And probably never to be heard of again.
Another one who wants to run before he can walk.
Do you actually know this?
With respect, whatever he's being paid, he's also being given a football education within one of the countries most impressive academies.
He can go to Blackpool, where first team players are achieving £250.00 a week stacked up heavily with bonuses - maybe that would suit.
There are many variables. He may have an agent, may want to go back home with family (French isn't he?) - whatever it is, good luck to the kid, but we won't lose any sleep.
Who knows the real answer and I respect your views but our track record in general isnt good
If we rated him that highly, he'd be on the bench ahead of one of the 3 defenders. We would get a deal done if we were that bothered.
An absolutely ridiculous statement. Some of the wages we pay to kids who don't make it is quite unbelievable, believe me.
What a load of cobblers.
