Stick with the 442 and meet fire with fire or put Edwards back in?
Meet fire with fire.
Same team if all fit.
I did wonder if Golbourn back in the side might offer a little more even but after a 1-4 away win is there need to change?
Don't change a winning team.
Comms did sound like Hause was a little shaky last night, and Sako ineffective, so if any changes were going to be made it would only be for these two. Still seems a little harsh on Iorfa as for me he had done nothing wrong, can he play left back?????
I am temped to play an extra midfielder as I feel Norwich are better going forward then us.
The game is a must not lose IMO.
I'd play Edwards for the fist 60. Then bring on Dicko or Afobe and probably replace VLP with Henry.
IMO its a 3 hourse race for 6th. Between Brentford, Norwich and Us. Lose Saturday and its all over
With the greatest respect I'm glad your not picking the team for Saturday
Don't like making changes from a winning team, but I do believe Golbourne for Hause and Iorfa for Doherty would strengthen the team, and without changing the shape of the team
Far enough. I just feel Norwich are the better team on paper. So I don't want to invite individual battles. Rather take it safer and play them on the counter, then go for it with a quarter remanding.
We won 4-1 so can we change the team?
Golbourne in if fit but if not, all the same.
I actually think Iorfa is significantly better than Doherty, too, but sounds like he did relatively well last night so keep him in.
Same team if all fit.
Hard to change the team after a 1-4 victory but we certainly can't allow them 31 shots on goal or we'll be in for a hammering. I assume with them being at home they will attack us, which will suit us perfectly.
To change the team would be ridiculous. We're playing Norwich, not Real Madrid. Let's focus on our attacking threat and be positive, why obsess over what they could potentially do to us?. Still a long way to go in the season, 16 games? 'IF' we do lose, it really isn't the end of the world as some are suggesting.
Redmond will play for Norwich. Who should mark him?
Golbourne or Hause?
Keep the same side, although this will be a much much tougher game
I do not like to change a winning team, however, for this very, very important must not lose game, I would replace Hause with the more experienced Golbourne who can also help support our midfield a bit better.
Norwich aren't great defensively. Same team but would like to see Golbourne in for Hause if he's fully fit
Just Iorfa for Doherty
Same team. No tinkering. Get in. Get out. 3points. Onwards and upwards. Show no fear.
Show that attitude with the missus for the game John and you may yet be joining us?
No but Doherty has done don't forget
But if we're changing the player at left back shouldn't it be Golbourne coming back in?
Yes definitely Golbourne at left back
I believe recalling Golbourn if there are to be any changes is the only one that could improve things but it concerns me that a winning side should be changed at all?
We need everyone at the top of their game for this one, it's a massive opportunity to push ourselves into the play-off picture. The fans at Carra Rud will expect Norwich to push on to us and force the issue but I think that we have every opportunity to hurt them on the break if they do so. I'd like to see us go with something like this:
Iorfa - Batth - Stearman - Golbourne
Price - McDonald
Van La Parra - Afobe - Sako
Doherty was better last night but I can't understand why Iorfa has been dropped for him given the form he was in. Golbourne has to come back in for Hause, I thought he had a rough ride against Scannell. He gave too many free kicks away and played us into trouble a couple of times at the edge of our box.
The central midfield two picks itself, as do the front four after yesterday's festivities. I'd like Sako to get involved a bit more, I thought he was poor yesterday; blazing over from a couple of yards out and being at fault for their goal. Van La Parra needs to target Olsson in much the same way as he did in the home game - get him wound up and it's "Goodnight Vienna".
This is a very big game in the context of the second half of our season and we can't afford to bottle it.
Totally agree with Andyc225 on that. I think the more we have for them to worry about the better basically and that line up is the best we could do in that respect. Again it will mean no striker on the bench so it will be a matter of slogging it out with them and then possibly reinforcing the midfield later should we manage to get as far as having a lead or a point to try to hang on to! Much more difficult though if we are chasing the game of course- that is very much the snag with that approach!!
Me thinks Dangerous will be back in. Norwich are a different proposition.
Huddersfield made it an open game with their set-up, creating many chances themselves which they fluffed or the keeper saved. Had they had Wells playing the outcome could well have been different.
We need to keep it tight and see how the game progresses.....supplement the attack as required. Not really sure our midfield is good enough to maintain the control required without Dave's energy protecting them.
Spot on, that is the team I have been asking for for the last few weeks, and the formation must be 4-4-2
I agree this is the formation that must be stuck to. Never a simple, easy to play against 442.
I also agree with your points re Olsson. RVLP HAS to run at him at every opportunity.
I wouldn't be against this. He's certainly a player who managers love. And with reason.
More like 4 -2 -4 with the front four interjecting with each other at will
I wouldn't be completely against seeing him behind Dicko in all honesty, but I'm pretty sure he'll go with Afobe.
