On trial. 17 year old right back from Maidstone.
Iorfa, Doherty, Ricketts, EEL. Why do we need another right back? Isn't left back more of an issue?
He's 17, Dews.
So I read but considering Iorfa, EEL & even Doherty are still only young my point still (IMHO) stands
He looks a bit like Jesse Lingard..
club should ALWAYS be looking to improve on what we have. What do we do if those named players' form takes a nosedive or are sold/lost on free? Go and spend £millions to replace them?
Jesus! Maybe it was him and not Lingard we are getting?!
Personally I'm hoping for a combination of the two...Jesse(ca) Simpson...
Is this another thread like Tom Bradshaw, Rico Henry, or Ben Pringle?
It seems likely that both Iorfa and EEL will be centre halfs in the long term though. Alos who knows what will hapen with them over the next few years. If he is a good player and we can develop him ala Evans and Haus then why not?
But, he will go into the development squad not the first team.
We probably have more chance of signing Daisy Duke
One for the future? we dont have many of them
My Uncle Frank played for Maidstone. Not that it is necessarily a ringing endorsement of the youth structure or quality of football there.
Good luck to the lad. Hope he has that little x-factor to make him stand out.
Only 17 why not?
Nicely done Sir!
Good luck Aaron

Well good luck and all the best to him but can't get the slightest bit enthralled about this.
Yet another youngster to add to the development squad should he sign on when the 1st team squad is still lacking.
Good luck to the lad.
Iorfa and eel are traditionally centre backs iirc
Good to see the club continuing to look to strengthen for the long term future of the club.
Aaron Simpson - or should I say Jesse Lingard rolleyes: ) - has signed a two year deal.
3rd year option for us also & a partnership it would seem with that academy to play fixtures across the age groups giving us first looks at players.
Not a bad deal, turns out we can never have enough forward options at full back these days
Regards attacking fullbacks on the books (and we seem to have a few) one might turn out to be a gem in the form of Gareth Bale who also started out as a left back.
Square pegs in round holes
Welcome to Wolves Aaron.
Now he's here good luck and all the best.
Nothing on the official site about this yet.
More likely to hear about via Readings.
He went to Derby didn't he??
Not delighted that the club places so much emphasis on the future, but it can only be a good thing and I'll back our players either way.
Let's hope this move comes off just as with Doherty.
well done jackett, webber and thellwell, without doubt the major problem the club faces is at rightback in 2017.
E&S seem to think he hasn't signed either:
Well they are slow then
Go on Newsnow Wolves.First item is the Kent Messenger 'Simmo signs deal'
Scroll down and there are quotes and a pic of him signing (looks like Compton) and a twitter comment from him saying he is pleased to have signed.
I am sure someone will cut and paste it.
That's what I thought Jonzy. I'm sure someone's posted a link (in this thread) where the pic I think you're talking about is on there.
Typical E&S to be honest. Not even surprising the amount of mistakes they make these days.
