Sounded great last night booming across Molineux, more of the same on Saturday
Well done South Bank
Bow many were there Edge ?
Sounded loud on the radio (y)
Did it? was hard to judge at the game was worried it might sound quiet with the stand only being half full.
I'm not gonna lie as the snow came down and 'Jack Hayward's Barmy Army' echoed round the South Bank for a good 15 minutes non stop I felt myself welling up.
Its all to easy (and I'm as guilty as anyone) to be cynical, argumentative and over analytical on places like this forum but sometimes you just have to remember being a supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers is the best thing in the world.
Yeah first. 10/15 mins of second half that song was all you could hear
First half was pretty dull atmosphere wise, with no S1 to lead and a lot of people in different seats think it took a while for people to get going, but from then on was good with a higher % than normal joining in (less fans but about the same level of noise) and a lot my constant too.
The South Bank were incredible last night and Sir Jack would have been so proud.
"Jack Haywards Barmy Army" went on and on for ever. A shame we could not have heard more from my lot in BW. But I'm sure on Saturday with hopefully a full house the whole ground will do the same.
Well done lads.
Not sure yet, but we are trying to arrange a visual tribute to Sir Jack on Saturday and we may need more volunteers to help with cards etc. If anyone, especially those retired or not having to work this week might be interested in helping, would they please look out for an appeal on here soon.
Thank the young kids at the front of the South Bank they were banging the tune out on the hoarding boards and the South Bank responded
I thought I saw you there at the front Edg. The short trousers and school cap gave you away.
Well done again, a credit to Sir Jack.
I was in the North Bank, meal in WV1, enjoyed the game, tremendous match
To be fair it was pretty sombre mood after the news and the first half performance didn't do a lot to lift that, second half was great though and I'm glad it came across well.
Let's ignore JOH
Much more fitting to have Jack Haywards Barmy Army booming out
