Oh dear, what a $$$$.
"best squad by a million miles" - They have a few players i'd take but not many and Halford ceretainly isn't one of them.
Great stuff. Pin this up on the changing room wall, MM...
"a million miles" - What a ridiculous statement! Without Beattie they are also rans.
This looks nice doesn't it? -
I particularly like the fact that he states the squad is the “best in the championship by a million miles” but then goes on to say, regards a permanent move to Sheffield Utd “lets not look to far in front”.
What a complete and utter cockwomble.
Well if our lads ever need the ammunition to deliver a drubbing, this is certainly it.
Is there a way of ensuring that Mick and the boys pick up the Yorkshire Post today and read it at the pre-match meal? This kind of mouthing-off is almost Mcghee-esque in its arrogance - absolutely brilliant motivation for us.
i really, really, hope we hand out a wopping tonight.
however, on closer inspection of the league table, i wasn't aware that they'd only let in 4 goals at home all season. seems they have a fairly water tight defence at home and therefore, scoring may be harder then we anticipated. that said, i'm confident in our boys. i just hope with Mancienne out again we are tight at the back ourselves. Beattie has scored a few this season and they do have some decent players! i'm confident of a positive result, but to all the people predicting a high scoring win in the prediction thread - i think it may be a tougher test then that!
Don't bring me into it.
They're a good side, and excellent at home. First goal wins.
Is Beattie playing then? I expect he will.
Who have they played at home though? Without looking I'll put my head on the block and say Reading are the only decent team they must have played.
Their fans are saying if they get at us like Norwich they will beat us easy but if they sit back and give us to much respect like Reading we will get a result. I think if they come at us we will batter them on the break, Norwich was a freak result.
In the league at home, they've lost to Reading, drawn with Wednesday, Coventry and Cardiff, beating Plymouth, Preston, Brizzle, Watford and QPR.
They're not so hot at the back without Ehiogu
Halford - a player who on at least 2 occasions has proved that he is Championship quality and no more.
A couple of good results but on the whole not that impressive, so I was pretty much correct. Wow, is this how Petewolf feels all the time. It's nice
That's McCarthy's team talk sorted out then!
the reserve team bit about The Australian international who can't get in the side made me chuckle, shall we tell him about rosa
Tell! Can we give him Rosa?
get fm09 sell him to shrewsbury straight away
He rejects a contract termination, and when i offered him to clubs nobody wanted him.
"I prefer to be sitting where we are at the moment, just in behind the leaders. Nobody is talking about us and hopefully we can kick on and go unnoticed."He's speaking some more tosh here, so if he was offered the position Sheff Utd are in or the position we are in he is saying he would chose there position?! He has an interesting logic if he doesn't want anyone talking about Sheff Utd i would suggest that they lose to Wolves tonight to keep them 'unnoticed'!!!
I thought he was in X-Factor this year?
what a tool.
So why are you talking about them then, and bringing attention to the cause, you village idiot?
Cos he's not the sharpest Blade in the toolbox...
Cheesy but not a bad effort!
"The strength of the squad is unbelievable – we had a reserve game last week and an Australian international (David Carney) couldn't even get in the side."
Well thats me very worried, an australian not getting in the first team...we will only have 3 full Welsh internationals and one full Northern Ireland International warming our bench tonight....they just don't compare to that full Australian international do they.
Fully expect Sheff Utd to kick Kightly in the air at every opportunity tonight...hope he gets through unscathed
If you mean Keogh, isn't he Republic?
In fact, don't think we've got a single Northern Irish player have we?!
Quite correct, a thousand apologies
I hope Stearman or someone gets stuck in and clatters the knob. (As long as they don't get sent off)
Oh dear he really should keep his face out of the papers.
On paper, Brum clearly have the best squad but the Championship is not as simple as that. As for Halford, what's he done?
I don't think they do, so it's not clear.
I think we do
1-3 - Stick that one Halford
Job done then, I'm sure one or two of our boys will have found him out after the final whistle for a handshake and a word or two
Derrrrrrrrrr Ohhhhhhhhhh derrrrrrrrr! I want my mummy!
Do one Halford. Always good to put one over on the Blunts I say.
ermmm, am I missing something. Can you point to exactly where he says this??!
FFS talk about sensationalism. He says he thinks they have the best squad and thinks they should be in the top 2 at the end of the season. Its a bit of a stretch to write he thinks Wolves, Blues and Reading are $$$$.
whooosh? explain how it was over my head please? The title has nothing to do with the article, other than the reference to Halford
