Don't know whether or not it's been covered, but I was just interested to know who everyone else would choose for their team of the year in comparison to the one voted for this week:

Mine would be:

Bialkowski

Doherty, Coady, Bamba, Douglas

Cavaleiro, Maddison, Neves, Sessegnon

Reid, Vydra


Jota and Boly would be in there were it not for the ridiculous loan player rule. Tom Cairney wouldn't be far off, and I think Luke Freeman at QPR has gone under the radar a bit this year. I also think Adama Traore is arguably one of the top 5 players in the league in terms of ability, but his form has only really propelled over the last few months.

To be fair George Saville has had a very good season by all accounts. The only one of the players we got rid of last summer who has mind. The others have been average and woeful at best.

Whenever I have seen Sheff Utd if he plays well they do.

Nullify him and you nullify them.

They have done well to be where they currently are and a lot of it is down to him in my opinion. That and there hasn’t been a real out and out goalscorer except Vydra and I can’t for the life of me figure out how he has scored so many goals!

I disagree.

Wallace has also had a great season for Millwall.
Bod has much improved since he left, with 10 goals in all comps for a struggling Reading side.
Stearman has had a good season, breaking into the side towards the second half the season.
Evans had a great first half season with Wigan and has since been playing regularly for Shef Utd. Had a fantastic game against Cardiff as well.

I can’t think of anyone who has had a woeful season other than Silvio, but that’s because of injury problems.
