Bruno seems to have the same
“What am I going here” expression.
Not unlike Nuno’s. He knows what’s coming

Yes signed from QPR 61 I think. I was at his debut but cannot remember who against

Some of the stick Hwang gets is very OTT. Yes he has been out of form post injury, but before that he showed himself to be one of the best finishers in the squad.

While he wears the Old Gold he will have my full support.
Not sure that's true.

His two against Newcastle were poor keeping - Darlow is Championship level if we're honest.

He scored from a yard at Watford and Leeds was instinctive but easy & no keeper against Arsenal.

I defended him yesterday so think he has a role to play but I think he's technically awful.

So we want a stronger squad, and then we want to sell an England international centre half.

I absolutely struggle with this place at times
It's more that we may have to sell someone, so who is it to be?

Also, if we're sticking with a four throughout the season then we may as well sell Coady as he isn't good enough.

We really don’t look like scoring many goals if these attackers are the back ups. Obvious we are crying out for additions in several areas. The options on the bench at Leeds as it stands will sum up our recruitment attempts so far this summer.

hand it to lage he is sticking to his 4 and has the balls to hold it with coady etc.

I don't think I have ever seen a men's teams with so many players on below 5 ft 7 as we do now

I sure accept that it can take a while to get back from an injury, and Hwang did look better before his first injury. However he played a lot of games after his first injury and he looked poor in most of them.
As for being good finisher. I can accept that notion, allthough it says a lot about our lack of goalscoring ability, that a guy with 5 goals is among our better finishers.
However if you contribute very little else to the team, apart from very good work of the ball, then you need to be not just among the best finishers in the team, you need to be lethal...
Having said all that, I completely agree, that he should have our full support. And one thing we do get everytime from Hwang is lots of running and hard work. That should be appreciated.

Remember them all. Crowe was an England international (1 cap when at Blackburn?).

Good to get 90 minutes in. I think I'd be keeping bueno and not loaning out as long as gets to play a bit. Looks a real talent.

Ronan ahead of cundle for me. Shows his experience and has a good eye. Toti perfectly capable too.

Chem C I'm unsure about. Looks like he needs a loan.

Hodge - one for the future.

Hwang showed his good and bad. He was close to a tap in - not one wolves player, injured or not, gets in those positions. Silva and post injury Jimenez certainly don't.

And yes, I would sell coady if we're going with a 4 and invest wisely and quickly. Key is the latter.

A couple of times when the camera panned back, noticed him hanging a few yards behind the others. Maybe that's the plan? Or could be how he copes with the lack of pace, gives him that extra yard or two. Contrast with last nights back 4, who are rarely going to be beaten for pace by anyone.

Both Toti and Mosquera are very fast. Our corner that they broke from, it was Toti and Mosquera, also had gone up for the corner , but had sprinted back. Mosquera gave the free kick away in the end. Coady and Boly were not anywhere near. Again , maybe that is how it's planned?

Not sure if we need to sell either of them just yet. But these days, I'm getting more and more confident in Toti as the third CH. And I reckon Mosquera will get there, but is just a season or two away at that moment.

A good runout for a mostly second-string team. I wouldn't say anybody has forced their way into the starting eleven at Leeds.

Ronan was the pick of the bunch for me. I think he has earned a spot in the squad this season and I think he has the technique and awareness to play with the likes of Neves, Moutinho, Gibbs-White, etc. Some really clever passing and movement from him tonight.

Now bring on the serious stuff.

How did you come to that conclusion? It may be that Lage feels we have better options in a four, but how do we actually know? For a player who has adapted his whole life, and who is such an important part of our identity, we are very quick to write him off

Leo Bonitini.

Started like rocket. Ended like damp squib. Soon after lucrative contract signed. Must have been the Brazilian merchandise that did it.
IIRC he just fell apart after Xmas/new year period... So it wasn’t as if he signed his contract and then took the foot off the gas.

Don’t think he scored a goal in the 2nd half of the season. I remember he came very close, Striking the post from an acute angle out wide in the box. It rolled across the face of goal and that was the closest he ever came again.

God knows why we still ended up signing him and God knows how on earth he is still on our books 5 years later.

I get your point but it's a loose point. Could we not make the point for any player? How do we not know Semedo wouldn't be a good centre-back in a four?

Firstly, his performances this pre-season are a massive concern. He has got done far too often.

Then we have the physicality that's required. The Kilman stat where he ran with a high intensity more in 45 minutes of a pre-season game than in 90 minutes in a back three in the Premier League, show the requirements that are needed. Can Coady do that? I don't think so, it's not his fault, he just can't run. He's a back three specialist.

For the record, I'd keep him and switch between a back three and four this season but the reality is that if someone is going to go we're going to have a hard decision to make in who to sell.

The number of players we've had who impressed until they were signed permanently/got a new contract.....
