Kenny Miller only 2 ! - although that one against Man Utd is worth about 10.

The other was just 3 days later against Liverpool - not bad!

Yesterday was the anniversary of that Utd win.

Congrats Raul! Great achievement, let’s hope he increases his lead even further the rest of the season!

This is NOT a criticism of the OP, it's just the way all the media treat things - football doesn't count before the First Division was renamed the Premier League!
Bearing that comment in mind, I think you have forgotten Dennis Westcott and his 38 goals in 1946-47. Plus too many to list at 20plus during the 1950s - 1970s!!

Was my initial response too. I hate how they do this yet always include Manure and LiVARpool championships before 1992 when totting up titles.

Think it shows just how good Fletcher was to get as many as he did in a similar time period to Raul (but in an infinitely inferior side).
I always thought he was an excellent footballer as well as finisher (not that he got many chances). Had a brilliant touch and awareness to his game but only got away from Mick playing him as a sub on the wing because of Doyle's injury towards the end of that first season here.

Fletch was a great striker- really was.

Shame he was a nob, and the side so generally lacking in quality, because he really did have something about him. One of his first games he beat a couple of players with close control, and had to have a think when I’d last seen a Wolves player do that. I struggled.

When we signed him, was sceptical because he seemed a real McCarthy signing- a grafter, value for money, etc. Watching him live first couple of games, you could see he was top level stuff- just looked the part. Good header of the ball as well.

Very good Mr Marrs but it’s a sad indictment that we haven’t scored many in 5 1/2 seasons - 222 by my reckoning.

His first touch and ariel ability was second to none.

You must be a child :) - I remember seeing 31 of them! On a slightly more serious note, It just shows how lucky those of us in our 70s are.

I'm 42! Shows how badly managed this club was in the decades before Fosun turned up

I always thought he was an excellent footballer as well as finisher (not that he got many chances). Had a brilliant touch and awareness to his game but only got away from Mick playing him as a sub on the wing because of Doyle's injury towards the end of that first season here.

I always thought they were two great, but very different strikers. They both needed a different partner.
Fletcher needed someone to feed him, and Doyle needed somebody to feed....but they didn't play well together and we were an average team playing off scraps and setpieces anyway.

Doyle's performance against ManU when he took on Ferdinand and Vidic(?) single-handedly is still one of the best forward performances I've seen from a Wolves striker, alternately targetting them and pulling them out of position, he ran them ragged.
He was a great footballer at the beginning, but never a prolific scorer.

Funny how the mind plays tricks. If I had to guess Andy Gray's, Mel Eves' and Kenny Hibbett's totals, I would have easily doubled each of their numbers and maybe more...

Think it shows just how good Fletcher was to get as many as he did in a similar time period to Raul (but in an infinitely inferior side).

I remember in one of his first games he brought down a goal kick with his first touch as if he’d received a 5 yard pass. Felt like we’d signed the Scottish Ronaldinho.
