Look how much the Premier League has tweaked how VAR works since its introduction, just this week Howard Webb claimed they've changed it so VAR is more aggressive in challenging the on field ref, all done without IFAB.

IFAB may say clear and obvious in the rulebook but it's up to the Premier League / UEFA how they determine the level that clear and obvious means and both have different thresholds. Just like the handball rule is an IFAB guideline but UEFA are much harsher on it than the PL.

Yes, agree with all that, just saying they are both interpretations of the same 'clear and obvious' guidance and to be even more picky the PL don't decide that it's the PGMOL.

This group of players wouldn't even require a particularly good manager to achieve anything. Just someone better than a defensive minded League 1 coach would be a start.

We will look back at this period with so many what ifs.
