Think Santi has an Injury doesn't he? Didn't play for Uruguay. If he's anything less than 100% wouldn't risk him. Tempted to go 4 atb for this one, really don't want to shoehorn Doc, Jonny or Semedo in at CB. We should have enough protection with Lemina and Gomes in front of them. Bellegarde, Cunha and hopefully Neto to get us up the field, Hwang to bang the goals in.

I do think that this is a really difficult selection.
We definitely play better and are more secure with 3 at the back in my opinion but I am not sure that Santi is up to speed with the PL yet. Do we play Semedo at RCB with Doc as the RWB or do we play a hybrid system with 4 at the back and Lemina dropping in when defending? I am really not sure.

Could be:
Sa
Semedo Kilman Toti
Doc Gomes (or Doyle) Lemina RAN
Bellegarde Sarabia (or Cunha)
Cunha (or Hwang)

Or
Sa
Semedo Kilman Toti RAN
Gomes Lemina Doyle
Bellegarde Sarabia (or Cunha)
Cunha (or Hwang)

I think I am leaning towards the second option in a hybrid 4-3-2-1

A few tickets for this are available on general sale as of today
Still about 50 left for anyone with a membership. I know it's a ridiculous KO, cost of living crisis etc, but surely there are 50 people in London who will buy these??

Also btw a good 100 or so left for Arsenal for people with only 1040 tomorrow.

Wondering if the closed shop is opening up a bit?

The really encouraging part of watching Wolves this season is GON sets us up well and then makes telling substitutions.

So I'm not picking a starting 11, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens.

One potential prat fall might be Raul Jimenez who has just scored his first goal for Fulham. It will be interesting to see who deals with him.

It's a nice fixture to introduce S.Bueno into. Fulham, whilst tricky, aren't exactly incredible in attack. So it should be a decent examination for him.

Does Sarabia deserve to start? Probably.

So those two would be my only changes. For Dawson and Bellegarde.

I think we can get away with playing a back 4 in this fixture, especially given there's no standout candidate to come in at CB for Dawson.

Therefore I'd bring in Sarabia to reward him for his Spurs contribution and given him opportunity to build on it.

No reason why Toti can't play as the sweeper of the 3 CBs - he's probably the quickest.
But there again, you don't necessarily need pace - just the ability to read the game exceptionally well!

A large element of the system is that RAN pushes forward and Toti fills in as a left back. So I’d keep him on the left.

If he is FIT, it has to be Santiago surely.........kilman in the centre.......we must assess him in a game.....it's a decent game to make your debut in the premier league......
We must really fancy ourselves to be winning this game next week. Fulham got a few players out. We should be looking to attack th at every opportunity put right the wrongs at sheffield

We never seem to do well at Fullam, so a lucky draw would be a good result?
No idea how we should setup a three man defence if Santi is not 100% fit, maybe go four at the back then Doh- Kil -Toti-Bueno?
It would also confuse Fullam a bit, and I also have faith in GON to surprise them with a tactical switch further up the field.
We have had two weeks to practise a slightly different approach.

Won 4 and lost 1 out of last 8 visits. I do worry about Traore and Jimenez combining to score though!

The chances of us deviating from 3/5 at the back, which has brought us all of our recent points, tend towards zero l imagine.

Oh, and Doc? Unless Semedo has a broken leg hell no! What has RAN done wrong either?

LOL ! :)
Well, mostly I only pretend that I know something about football.
I do remember Adamas late winner a few years ago though, and the spectacular SEB winner in overtime many years ago :)

No point in changing the formation just because we will be “forced” to play an Uruguayan international centre back.
I agree, the only question is which way round you play Bueno and Killman.

IF Bueno isn’t fit though I think then I’d rather go with a back 4 over the idea of playing Doc as a rcb.

Kilman centre .. he is captain, needs to take the extra responsibility of organisation etc...he is the one who should help Bueno..

Same. I’m torn between what would be more beneficial as to giving Bueno more protection or having Kilman as the safety blanket sweeping.

If he’s not fit then definitely a back 4, get an extra man in midfield and try getting on the ball more. I reckon @bod101 would approve of this.

Yeah that’s my inclination too.
It’s just that there were comments that Bueno looked very slow in the game v Ipswich which might mean he’d suit the deeper central role?
But being right footed you’d think the right side would suit him best.

I see the central role as the organizer as such...it's the captain or experienced players job for me...that's why I would move kilman.....covers Santiago a bit better when he is finding his feet.....semedo can cover the pace out wide... Santiago in the old Bennett role ... Similar to toti , just do the basics well ...

Bueno is stronger in a four than AIT. I believe Semedo has picked up an injury I read somewhere, so I'M trusting our backup to step up.

I think semedo is back training.

Ran i agree is weaker in a 4 but if we are 5 he cant be dropped

I imagine we will find a way to do a 5 with bellegarde again in the centre of a 3-5-2 (3-4-1-2)

I think he’s pretty much equally competent at any of the back 3 positions. I’d make the decision on what suits Bueno best.

Think Kilman has been much improved at RCB. Don't think he's an organiser, just don't think it's in his make up (at present).

I'd be hesitant to change much. Straight swap with Santi for Dawson imo.
