I think he played largely with his back to goal for Benfica, holding the ball up, bringing others into the game. But got his fair share of goals.

My impression of him is that he's a regular goalscorer when he starts and the team plays to his style, but pretty anonymous from the bench or fitting into a different style.

If we’re going to stick with Lage, we need to give him the players to make his system work. If that’s one of the guys who helped his system work that well in the past, for a relatively small fee, id live with it.

It was noted, I think in the athletic, that Bruno doesn’t really keep personal relationships with any of his players. Wasn’t interested in joining the whatsapp group chat with the players like Nuno did etc. etc.

Would seem odd if he was like that with us but then was friendly with his players from Benfica.
What about the Cookie Monster?

Maybe we are in for him would be unlikely
Fabrizio Romana is suggesting that there’s plenty of interest in him, but not currently any proposal from WWFC. Feels a little bit like putting 2 and 2 together…
I guess we’ll see in the near future. I just hope that there is a proper list of targets/options and we aren’t going to leave it so late in the window that we are told we’ll be promoting from the youth team. In saying that, Toti looks ok and might develop and there’s also Mosquera. So I’m not sure how much mileage is in this particular rumour on Inacio.

He just looks around for what other random outlets are reporting to copy them, posting everything imaginable knowing some of it will eventually come off. Here’s a few examples of some of the laughable stuff he’s reported on us in the past:

Premier League is increasingly emerging as a likely destination for David Carmo. Wolverhampton are looking for a central player and see the ideal target in the Braga player. Competition plays in favor of the Minho.

The number of clubs interested in David Carmo continues to grow and Bruno Lage's Wolverhampton are the latest to join the list. The English emblem is looking for a central defender, to fill the departure of the Moroccan Romain Saiss, and the Braga player fulfills the requirements demanded by the Portuguese coach.

Wolves, who initially pointed to Gonçalo Inácio, although they ran into the price demanded by Sporting (45 million euros), as O JOGO reported, have already made a survey with SAD arsenalista to understand the conditions for a possible transfer of the center of 22 years old and found out that it has a lot of competition.

With this and the braga midfielder link, why do I get the sense our primary targets at Sporting may have hit snags. Newcastle? Villa?
It seems to be the pattern. Plan A is Sporting, Plan B is Braga.

Could be a way of Sporting trying to get us to up the bid, who knows

Exactly that reading article - Looks like we’re haggling. I know we can’t be held to ransom but ffs please just get this done wolves…..

French club puts the midfielder back on the list of targets for the closed season and interest spurs English competitors. Luís Campos' entry as sports advisor will be an asset for the deal to be done. Wolverhampton is in the running but has to up the ante to compete with PSG's financial cushion.

João Palhinha is on PSG's radar, an interest that could decisively influence the future of the Sporting midfielder and accelerate the departure of the player from Alvalade. During the late afternoon of Saturday, "Goal" and "Foot-Sur7" said that the French champion is pleased with the profile of João Palhinha for the midfield, following the news from "Tuttomercato" and "Le Parisien" that report a real revolution in midfield in Paris.

Palhinha has always been in the sights of the French and, in November, O JOGO reported how the number 6 entered the Parisians' equation, at a time when the athlete dazzled in an exhibition after being champion for Sporting, a goal he had outlined in his career.

At the time, Sporting was barely available to negotiate, but now the scenario is different, as he believes that Palhinha can be the big summer fit, after Nuno Mendes was bought by PSG, and that Ugarte secures the position. The renewed interest in Palhinha is directly linked to the arrival of Luís Campos as a sports advisor, which could facilitate the deal, as the Portuguese is well aware of the midfielder's characteristics and wants a more feisty PSG, believing that Sporting's "6" transport it to the field.

The project pleases João Palhinha and also because of PSG's financial capacity, those interested in England know that they have to hurry. As O GAME realized, Wolverhampton is the closest to signing the 26-year-old, waving a proposal of 24 M€, but knows that he will have to raise the stakes in the coming days, at least up to 30 million, to convince Sporting to release him.

PSG's financial strength requires Bruno Lage's club to improve the negotiation to close the transfer. Everton, Tottenham, At. Madrid, Leverkusen are competitors, who have not come forward with proposals so far.

Danilo runs the risk of being sold

There is a huge uncertainty regarding the future of PSG, starting with the coach and, consequently, with regard to the squad. In France, it is written that most midfielders will be able to leave the club. Paredes, Gueye, Herrera and the Portuguese Danilo Pereira will be
