There are plenty from lower divisions who would have scored more that Podence, too. Add Trincao to the list. And we have Under 23's who would have scored more than Fabio, in the 565 minutes he was given. But they aren't Portugese.

Seems unfair to pick on the 13M signing who scored 5 - no other player scored more in open play - while letting others who cost far more get off the hook. It's the definition of scapegoating. Putting all the blame for a collective failing on to the head of one individual. What could we get for the same price? Half a Danny Ings? There's true underwhelming for you.

This Hwang thing is just so tiresome - seems some are utterly obsessed with it that they can't see anything else. Give it a rest, you made your point. Again and again and again and again and again and again and again. People will start thinking there just might be an agenda here!

BTW Hwangs goals cost less than Werners so there's bigger wastes of money out there, plenty of them.

And we couldn't score in a brothel long before Hwang arrived. Yes, he didn't solve our goal scoring problems - but nobody else has, either. And he clearly is not the cause of them, they were there long before he arrived.
Yeah but he's crap.

Soooo here’s a list of wild rumours I’ve heard from various sources, some more reliable than others, others less reliable than a really unreliable thing:

Mendes asked us not to take up the option on Vitinha as PSG wanted to sign him, but wanted to delay 12 months. The payoff was a discounted deal from PSG, step forward Icardi or Wijnaldum.

Neves is staying, he’ll get a new deal and highly rated new midfield partners.

Several undisclosed players have already had medicals at the club.

Jota has been at Compton more than once recently and wants a move away from Liverpool due to not being guaranteed a start. We have first refusal as per the deal we did with Liverpool.

Moutinho will sign a new contract and is doing his coaching badges with a view to joining the management/coaching team.

Club staff telling friends to put a bet on a Champions League spot at the end of the season!

If any of these happen I’m demanding to be installed as officially itk
I was thinking that a Jota return could be a long shot .
He is getting some stick from Liverpool fans. Not surprised as I think he is not an improvement on what they had.

We all know about Jota, he plays in streaks. When he’s on it he’s an absolute dream, works hard, chases everything and scores goals. When he’s off it he’s not great and at a team with Liverpool’s standards they will notice his poor performances more.

Yeah those smug Tweets about rinsing us on the price have dried up. Would be great to have him back but can't see it happening either on transfer price or wages.

I've heard this twice now....from two people who have no connection with each other. Both seem reliable and I know for a fact one used to work at the club. Who knows though....

Ask Wolves was delayed because plan A was to dispense with Bruno's services in the summer. Apparently, a new man had been identified but, for one reason or another, chose not to make the move.

Pinch of salt, perhaps, but I wouldn't be surprised. If nothing else, Fosun are ruthless

Really can't see it happening, Jota is surely more than content at Liverpool, whatever happens at Wolves.

I've heard from various sources the same.

It does fit his character, the absolute guy who feeds off the adulation of the fans, which he had in abundance with ourselves.

Makes the absolute clowns who booed him look worse than usual.

I think i know the Molineux crowd pretty well, but the booing of Jota left me absolutely stunned. After all the moments he gave us......

We do seem to have a very close knit group where people enjoy each other’s company and like playing for the club. A good sell if we are buying anyone.

Would that be one teammate in particular though?
Hah! Nope, never heard the Bennett stuff. Sounds pie in the sky to me.

I just heard that he basically put in a transfer request when it became known Liverpool were interested

He's been excellent for them given then step up in class he had to adjust to I thought, slipped off a bit recently but was scoring goals, creating goals and his general play was really good

I heard about Podence having that house he's able to rent out all the downstairs rooms luckily as Pod lives in the cupboard under the stairs.

Jota might have wanted to go when he heard they were interested..And now he's found out the hard way that the grass ay always greener the other side.I dow think there is any chance of him coming back here and it probably is a load of *******s.But I've enjoyed these latest rumours and it's the kind of stuff I like.He might just be missing the family atmosphere we have at wolves, because I doubt Liverpool have the same feeling.Too may prima donnas.I did say he's gone now and I couldn't be bothered what he did at liverpool.BUT in the end I found myself looking at their line up to see if he was playing. So I suppose I was a tad jealous at the time.I'd love him back but ay holding me breath on this one that's for sure.

Contrary to what most folk seemed to think, I was of the opinion that the Jota deal suited all parties.

That was before I found out about the ridiculous DFS-style repayment terms.

With a better midfield behind him Jota could be left to do the damage in the final 3rd. Arguably his biggest issue in the first time around was that he was doing too much in the middle 3rd and was spent by the time he needed to be more clinical.

The biggest issue I can see is that Neto is occupying the space vacated by Jota.

I really rate Neto, I mean real world class potential. Could Jota play in the same side as Neto?... I'm not sure.

Would I have him back?... Yes but for £25m paid over 15 years.

Why have I started asking myself questions? I don't know.

What you looking at? Vogue!

Jota is winning medals and probably earning way more at Liverpool. No way is he coming back.

Spot on. He has dropped down the list now with the two most recent signings. But i think ge has been great for liverpool. Would take him back in a heartbeat

Blimey, Jota scored 21 goals and helped them to win 2 cups last season. How much better are they expecting him to be.
They are a tough lot to please . They say his ratio of chances to goals is relative poor.
