Word stemming from the English media on Thursday points towards Wolverhampton Wanderers doing enough to ward off any and all summer suitors of star midfielder Ruben Neves.Portuguese international Neves is of course fresh off another fine campaign.Prior to picking up a long-term injury problem late in March, the 25-year-old had featured in all but two of Wolves’ Premier League fixtures, continuing to conduct proceedings with near-incomparable poise from his deep-lying midfield berth. Not only that, but Neves’ contributions proved telling further up the pitch, too, en route to four goals and two assists across his 31 starts. And such efforts, in turn, have led to altogether inevitable fresh speculation that Wolves’ star man has been added to the summer wishlists of a number of English football’s heavyweights.
