Ok, it’s blindingly obviously we need experienced Premier League players in January.

I just hope we are not adrift and players will be reluctant to join us.

Could be loans, with an option to buy on some of them, if we survive relegation so I’ll start the ball rolling.

Ross Barkley - Villa
Emi Buendia - Villa
Harvey Barnes - Newcastle
Kieran Trippier - Newcastle
Lewis Miley - Newcastle
Harrison Reed -Fulham
Nathaniel Clyde - Crystal Palace
Wataru Endo - Liverpool
Nathan Ake - Man City
Mateo Kovacic - Man City
Adam Webster - Brighton
Ben Davies - Spurs

Just a few who could be available. No doubt some are pie in the sky, but I hope theses are the type of players we will be after and have lined up on 1st January.

Not PL experienced I know, but I wonder if we might go after Hayden Hackney, although Middlesbrough might tell us to **** off.

Completely depends on where we are come January. If we've somehow miraculously clawed our way back to within a couple points of safety, he'll probably get backed a lot more to ensure we survive, and might see some decent players come in. But if we're completely cut adrift by then, then it'll probably be signings for the championship

Maybe Harvey Elliot on loan could be a shout, isn't getting a sniff at Villa and Liverpool will want him playing games. Adam Traore maybe? Again not getting loads of game time, Ben Davies a good shout.

No.1 target would be adama. Never plays at Fulham, pace and ability to whip balls into out front two. 6 months left on his Fulham deal too.

Edit: he also owes us for sending him to
Barca for no good reason! Always struck me as a good guy so hopefully he would enjoy helping us?

I woukd have said raif the coventry , boro, but they will be looking at prem next year anyway

Hackney rudoni etc

RE needs to identify players who will be able to make us competitive in the Championship. Get them on board in January, whether permanently or on loan and look to sell as much of the dross as we possibly can. Any realistic bids, just accept it & move on.
We need a SEB/Afobe type for starters and any attacking player who can run quicker than my mother.

Scally, I'm sure you wrote this with the best of intentions BUT.........'not adrift'; we're adrift already - 8 pts from safety! 'If we survive relegation' ?????? We're down now! Even if we could afford any of them, why would they want to come to us? With the greatest of respect I think you and others on here have to stop taking the hallucinatory drugs you are on. Like it or not we are going down this year with possibly a record low points total.

You are probably right, nnw, but we will be making signings in January, irrespective of our league position.

Just come up with some names.

Buendia and Barnes have just scored for their clubs.
They are not regular starters, though and don’t get many opportunities off the bench, which is where they spend most of their time.

8 points from safety is well adrift already, with our poor goal difference it's as good as 9.

Hackney's going one way and it isn't in our direction, unless (I) we're in the PL next season and (II) we're willing to pay handsomely.
A bit like Alex Scott. We satisfied condition (I) but wouldn't pay the asking price and off he went to high flying Bournemouth.

They are not regular starters, though and don’t get many opportunities off the bench, which is where they spend most of their time.
Harvey Barnes 390 mins over 10 PL appearances this season so he's a solid second half sub for 40 mins per game. He's played 173 mins in 4 UCL matches so just under 45 mins per match so, again, he's used as a sub for half the game. So, while he might no be a regular starter, he's a well used substitute.

Buendia has played 350+ mins over 8 PL appearances which rates about the same as Barnes i.e. one half per match per appearance so, again, a very solid substitute that is turned to on a reasonably regular basis. He also has 2 goals/2 assists in those matches before today.

They've both had minutes in the Champions' League this year and so I'd be astonished if either of them even considered swapping UCL bench place and substitute appearance for a relegation scrap with us. Wish I was wrong.

For the record, I don't have any alternative names!

Any player with significant top division experience in England/Spain/Germany/Italy is pie in the sky for Fosun at the moment, unfortunately. No sell on value. We aren't shopping for the likes of Lemina or Dawson anymore. It's a great list, should have been who we were looking at in the summer, but I don't think any of them a realistic for us any more.

Wow hardly any of those players will want to come to us . Some of them.are starting for their teams today .

Those clubs are in multiple competitions, so will want squad depth. They are way out of our depth. We're not going to even attract decent Championship players. It'll be a very difficult window.

Wolves, who are bottom of the Premier League with just two points from their opening 11 matches, will look to recruit in January.

Any non-UK signings need to be under-21 or homegrown to meet the Wolves quota and while no significant spend is likely, there are funds for permanent incomings or loan deals, with the Championship one market in which they may operate.

None would come .

Pattinson as keeper from Sunderland is a suggestion.

Then look at HG free agents .

Have a chat with Deli Alli and the Ox to see if they fancy it .

We are not singing anyone who can help unless the incompetent owners release the ceiling on wages.

This reads like an AI script at the top of a Google search.

I would be targeting the cream of the crop in the Championship. If we go down, we need players that understand what it takes to play at that level because its a brutal league to be in. Start planning now to bounce back immediately. We already have a rough idea of who won't be here - Gomes, Andre, Krejci, JSL, plus any high earners.

During the double relegation year under Solbakken we signed a bunch of players from European leagues that took time to gel, or simply didn't gel at all. In fact, I think Sako was the only one who did well. Boukari was permanently injured, Sigurdarson was mediocre, Margreitter did he even play, Tongo Doumbia, I can't even remember.

Gus Hamer
Hayden Hackney
Imran Louza
Milan van Ewijk
Ryan Giles

No idea on Championship forwards, all a bit of a crap shoot
