Had a random thought this afternoon and wondered how our pitch size compared to other PL teams.

I was surprised to see that ours is the smallest! Given that Coady and Neves like a raking pass, and switching play is a hallmark of our game it's even more surprising.

Brighton, Huddersfield and Burnley are in the top 4!! Bonkers.

Don't know where they're getting their info from but it's not correct.

It's the standard Premier League requirements although pitches are allowed to be smaller if the stadium size requires it.

Premier league rules state that the pitch has to be 105m x 68m unless there is a very good reason for it not to be.
There are several clubs that have a slightly smaller pitch due to the design of the stadium, but these are older stadium with all 4 stands close to the pitch. Chelsea and Liverpool come to mind, but can't remember the others.

Our pitch used to be smaller back in the days of MM etc, but it is the standard PL size now.
That football stadiums link is lazy journalism.

Brammal lane is a big pitch historically, would they have to make it smaller to fit with the standardised pitch size? Yorkshire used to play cricket there!!

Personally I dislike this I think it adds to the difficult in playing away, also grounds lose their individuality:
