NEWCASTLE are set to sign teenager Jordan Hackett after his release from Tottenham.
The 18-year-old’s contract expires at Spurs today and he will not be signing a new deal.

Therefore, the highly rated left-back looks set to be snapped up by Newcastle on a free transfer.
He had a successful trial at the Magpies prior to making his move permanent.
Hackett has impressed at England youth level playing in the Under-15’s, 16’s and 18’s during his career.
He also featured 11 times for Spurs in the Under-18 Premier League but only started 38 per cent of games this season.

Hackett also played twice in the FA Youth Cup.
The player is one of 12 youngsters released by Antonio Conte this summer as he looks to overhaul the first-team as well as the academy.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have clear plans to build for their long-term future as Hackett is one of a number of youngsters making the move to the Toon this summer.
They have already secured the transfer of Irish starlet Alex Murphy and they remain keen on Charlie McArthur.
