None of it is particularly wrong. It’s just the most negative possible slant on every matter taken to the nth degree. Bet there’s plenty of posters that love it, it’s the world in which they live.

Can’t take it seriously though, when they float the idea of a rare ray of light being the possible ‘blossoming’ of Neto.
Anyone that knows football in general knows that already happened, it’s more hoping he can get back to pre-injury levels.

Its a pretty fair article to be honest. We are 11/2 to go down with william hill.
Really? It’s obvious to outside commentators that we need more goals and players to get into top 6 but Sellars and Shi have both dampened expectations in recent weeks. It seems the mostly dour performances on the pitch match the mood behind the scenes.

If the escalator is accelerating downwards.
I'd still simply hold on to the sides, and then hop off at the bottom!

Much better than trying to run up it when you know you can't make it to the top at the speed it's going.....

"More scarily from a Wolves fan's perspective, they seem certain to be overtaken by the likes of Aston Villa and Newcastle and end up standing still on a rapidly accelerating escalator. Asked this week if Wolves could spend to break into the top bracket, Shi’s two-word answer was almost chilling: "We can’t."

Looks like they copied it from here, or they are a poster on here! This quote above was taken completely out of context to his real answer.
Not a surprise from that paper..

“Oh it’s only The Mirror, it’s sounds like The Mix, lazy journalism…..” = The band on The Titanic.
The transfer window hasn't even opened yet. The season hasn't even begun.
Yet people keep going on and on about how pivotal the transfer window is. Yes, we know. The club, the fans, the media know.
Instead of constantly banging on about with no hope of influencing it, how about we just wait to see what players go, and what players come here over the window.
It'll certainly be easier for people's state of mind on here, and it might make it a more pleasant place to visit.
It's negativity central on here currently.

The journalist in question did start on the Shropshire Star & seems to have specialised as a Midlands sports correspondent for a number of national papers. Of course, journalism as it is today, he very likely did do a quick trawl of this & similar sites to cook up his piece; although national exposure could appear to give a little more heft to those opinions.

Can confirm that journalists very regularly trawl message boards!

It was written in an extremely negative light but didn't say anything we didn't already know.
And I know that this may sound pedantic but how can Conor Coady be "one of the best passers bar none"? You are either "one of the best" or "the best bar none". We all make mistakes on the Mix but this guy is supposed to be a professional journalist.

According to the above, it would put us in equal 12th place. I wonder how many would be tempted to take that?

,
it reads to me like someone closer to it, and embroiled in the fans' thinking, has spilled to him on the understanding that his name is on it

Fosun are supposed to be an investment company so the question is do they want to look after their investment.

I find it interesting that Bournemouth are regarded as more likely than Forest to go down given how many loan players the latter were using. The latter's reported £20M budget won't go far at all to strengthen their team.

I also note that we are regarded as more likely to go down than some teams who finished below is last season. I assume that reflects the bloody awful last third of last season, Neves potentially going and perhaps Shi's comments.

We were these odds as soon as the season finished. Think they're fair tbh. At present, I'd say we are 10-13 in terms of squad strength. Big few months

I would say Leeds and Forest are clear favourites, followed by Bournemouth then Fulham. Then....anyone from the 8th downward pack who has a bad season. Us, Villa, Everton, So'ton, Brighton, Southampton, Palace etc. Really not much between us all

From what I recall we were viewed similarly last close season by the bookies on the back of a poor season. I am not surprised we are seen in the same way now, especially if we are seen as a team unlikely to spend. One thing I suspect is we can't continue to avoid the odds forever....but that said, around about 12th next season...doesn't seem far off...

Not a surprise from that paper..

The part about "Villa and Newcastle having more ambition" was suspicious. But the giveaway was when he said "Dendonker is Wolves most important player" and asked "Is Fabio Silva value for money?".

Wouldn't be surprised if there isnt' a career for Churnalists just stealing stuff from fans forums and writing it up for the media.

Adrian Durham (in)famously said we'd get relegated at the start of our second season in the Premier League. When we started badly (remember the 2-5 to Chelsea?) it almost sounded like he was prophetic. But no, he was being a typical journalist stirring up the controversy.

If he starts asking: " How much every reader's season ticket costs and if they would rather win stuff, or make a profit?" We will have him bang to rights as a Mixer.

Scoring 2 goals would be a start!
