Was OK for the first 20 odd minutes of the game then turned into a homer, think he was getting the ****s with Jota appealing for free kicks all the time.

Var is var we are never going to beat that but when you have such a weak, inconsistent official then your never going to win regardless of if your the home or away team.

What is the point of having VAR if you get a game like today, that had a referee who struggled to make a correct decision throughout the game. The missed hand ball would have been interesting if they had scored from it, VAR would have taken the goal away surely!!!

The thing is refs only have to use it if they want to and had it not been for the Leicester players pleading with him he wouldn't have used it. The trouble with that is refs will allow some players to badger them but they'll book others for protesting and ignore VAR.

Goal shouldve stood. Rules are if not intentional no hand ball. Ref saw ball hit Murrays hand in box yesturday and never give Watford a penalty. They got different rule books?

Different rules for defending and attacking apparently - go figure.

Accidentally handles it in a natural position which prevents a goal - no problem.

Footballs gone. No more going crazy when we score.

We didn't get one "debatable" decision, Leicester had loads. His approach was "if in doubt favour Leicester". Beyond incompetent, definite bias whether conscious or not.

Absolute disgraceful display, we should complain - he was that bad.

Even on the Leicester forum one asked 'Is the ref a Leicester fan lol'.

Nothing to do with VAR either, as mentioned, that's not him but aside from that he was awful. Shouldn't be allowed to ref us give he is from Birmingham and a Villa fan. Plenty of other options without forcing him on us.

Total farce isn't it? If you're pulling up the attacking side you should also pull up the defending side

Apparently Radio Leicester said ref was their best player. Says it all!

Just read he's a Villa fan and was outed as such by Mark Halsey - apparently the other refs call him the "Villan".

All makes perfect sense now

He's a Villa supporter, btw.
Then he should never be allowed to referee a Wolves, ****e or Blues game then. It’s not right. Surely this should be picked up?? If I was a professional referee - I would not allow myself to officiate a game played by our rivals- wouldn’t trust myself to make a neutral decision. Absolutely bloody ridiculous situation.

He should've come wearing a Villa shirt. At least that would've given you a better idea about his plans for the game.

The trip by Vardy on Coady which lead to a corner was so blatant, so was a dive from Tielemans (?) 25 yards out when Doc's arm brushed against his chest. Both could have easily lead to goals, so could another handball in the lead up to a Leicester corner, but none of them would have even been checked by VAR which shows what a joke it is. But the system will disallow fair goal's like Dendoncker's because the ball was headered towards him from 10 cm away and may have touched his arm going by one angle.
