Being worried as most on here about next weekend and bored I thought I would look at the teams form guide since the new year. I think this is more telling than the last 4 or 5 games as it covers the fact that teams have played game over a longer period of time. At 5pm on New Years Day we were bottom of the table on 18 pts, having lost to West Ham, whilst BLackburn and Blackpool were in mid table security, since then:

Wolves - played 17, 22 pts
Birmingham - played 18, 20 pts
Wigan - played 18, 19pts
Blackburn - played 16, 15 pts
Blackpool - played 19, 14 pts
West Ham - played 16, 13 pts

I have also looked at the respective clubs away records and our home record in the same period and it makes interesting viewing:

Wolves (h) played 8, won 4, drawn 2, lost 2, gd +2, pts 14
BHam (a) played 9, won 2, drawn 2, lost 5, gd -12, pts 8
Wigan (a) played 9, won 1, drawn 4, lost 4, gd -5, pts 7
BPool (a) played 6, won 0, drawn 2, lost 4, gd -10, pts 2
BBurn (a) played 8, won 0, drawn 2, lost 6, gd -9, pts 2

I hadn't realised the poor form of some of our rivals particularly away from home. That being said anything could happen on Sunday.

its all irrelevant though, Who would of thought we would beat sunderland away 3-1. If we looked at stats like that we would of had no chance. The last few games are like cup finals anyone can win on the day and form is completely irrelevant.
