Why do players now wave their arms trying to get the crowd to be more vocal. It is something I have only noticed in the last year and it baffles me. Fans like those at Newcastle are very vocal, but surely it is up to the players to get the fans energised.
Sorry Frank, just read this. Totally agree and it winds me up when I see this happening. Its as though the player waving their arms is having a go at his own fan base. That would instantly make me dislike the player doing it.

Heard on the radio that Scottish police were moaning about pyros at Rangers games - bloody nanny state I thought.....

Female boss in men's game 'a matter of time' - Wiegman

Sarina Wiegman believes it's only a matter of time. Can't see any reason why not but for it to work surely it would have to be someone who's come up through the man's game and not someone who transfers over from the women's?

I couldn't get on board with the idea of her replacing Southgate. It would be the equivalent of appointing the first team coach of Rochdale. Her tactics, training/coaching methods and knowledge are based on the women's game and around their physical limitations (not meant pejoratively) How would that translate to the men's game or are they so different that they may as well be different sports?

Men are managing and coaching in the womens game? Many will have transfered over from mens football.

True, but I wonder how many that have transferred over have been really successful? The Spain manager who won the world cup with them started his coaching career in women's football and moved up. Phil Neville wasn't exactly a roaring success.

I'm not against anyone trying it in the slightest, I'm just not sure it's a given that someone successful in women's football would automatically be successful in the men's game.

It's nothing misogynistic on my part. I don't believe you could take a manager from the lower leagues and have them be successful in the Premier League or vice versa either. Steve Evans couldn't manage Man City and Pep couldn't manage Forest Green and be a success

I don't think a female manager should start at the top in the mens game, but I'd like to see some eventually getting a chance at a lower level to see how it might work.

Completely agree with that. Absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be given a chance. Would love to have seen Forest Green give Hannah Dingley a proper chance

Afternoon everyone.

Does anyone know what time the team coaches arrive at molineux on a match day? I’m taking my 13 year old brother in law to the match tomorrow and I think he’d like to see the players arrive

It used to be about an hour and a half before ko but I haven't been to see them arrive for a couple of years

Very disappointing to hear the minute of non-silence from Celtic fans. Maybe a minority, but it sounded like a significant minority. I know they will argue there are historical reasons, but it's just a lack of respect. I'm sure there will be Celtic supporters who are serving and have died for the country. Just another example of how elements of society are a bit ****.

Keith curle is 60 today
Scary. Obviously some things happened which left mixed feelings, but I always loved the guy. After years of lumbering CHs Curle was a revelation, he formed a great partnership with Dean Richards, who I'm sure he was a great help to.

He was one of the few veterans we had at the time that wasn't just out for a final pay day.

We did have some shocking centre halves in the early to mid 90's Paul Blades, Paul Stancliffe, Derek Mountfield, Lawrie Madden, Rob Hindmarch (equaliser against the **** notwithstanding) Peter Shirtliff, Eric Young, Ade Williams.

Then in the late 90's - early 00's we had some excellent ones. Curle, Deano (still the best I've seen, would have had 50+ caps without that damned car crash) Lescott, Pollet, Craddock, Clyde (could have been)

You just don't get those big horrible hard slow centre halves these days do you, the game has changed a lot.

Wasn’t sure what thread to post it on, and yes, it’s pure bitterness, but taking particular delight in watching Arron Ramsdales career hit the ****ter.

Odious little ****.

Crazy what he’s revealed in that interview.

That he has to interact with the crowd and sing along with songs, as he struggles to concentrate for 90 mins otherwise.

Very honest, but a strange thing to say for someone that might be needing a new club soon.

The open heart media interview stuff is daft. Ronaldo and Piers Morgan, Lopetegui and Balague, now Ramsdale. But it's storm in a teacup, really. He's obviously just trying to sound kewl and edgy, but instead comes across as a tit. It's not like he's said he has a fag and reads the newspaper when the play is in the other half of the pitch, or that he snatches a sneaky forty winks and then opens his eyes to see the ball in the back of the net.

Saw his dads comments earlier on the situation with Raya. Your never going to keep two top keepers happy and many predicted unrest in the goalkeeping department at Arsenal. Have no sympathy with Ramsdale of course, probably for the same reason as your delight but its an interesting situation they have created. I think it was said they wanted the competition for the keepers shirt but there is a reason most clubs have a number 1 and less quality back up. I did wonder wether it would work having that competion, but at the end of the day they both want to play and only one of them can. So the other is going to get cheesed of at some point. Interesting situation and most comments I've read from Arsenal fans seem sympathetic to Ramsdale and dont think he did much wrong to get replaced. I guess he will be looking to move on for playing time elsewhere.

Looked at my favourite Wolves shirt yesterday. The black away shirt with Doritos logo. What stood out to me was the rich old gold colour on the wolfhead logo. It’s a stunning colour and so much nicer then the yellow we have now

Why don’t the football authorities do something about the blatant diving and play acting that is such a blight on the game?
