Fantastic and unexpected result today

Great to see PL putting faith in the younger players too. Unlike WZ, he's had the balls to give Wolves debuts to Burgoyne, Ronan and now Gibbs-White. They've all done well in big games and not looked out of place or fazed by the occasion. He's also brought Enobakhare back into the fold and given him game time.

This gives a hugely positive message to the U23s (and U18s) that if you work hard enough and you're good enough you'll get your chance sooner rather than later. Over the next few years, a number of the players above (plus others still to make their debuts) have the potential to become established first team players if (and only if!) they continue to work hard and continue on their current trajectories.

By all accounts, Zenga put up barriers between the first team and the rest of the Wolves squad but PL (supported by KT I'm sure) has dismantled these quickly. KT gets his share of bashers on here but he deserves credit too for the youth set-up and players coming through in his second-batch, joining his first batch (Hause, Iorfa, Evans etc.).

I think its great too...particularly at the moment as the kids are doing the business when they are given a chance.

However, I think for many there is a very fine line between "hats off" and "not knowing what he is doing" "Club trying to do it on the cheap type posts" if we lose

Not being prepared to try youngsters goes way back beyond WZ. A manager confident in his role and ability is exactly what PL is and he deserves massive credit.

That's true, McCarthy was also poor at giving the young players opportunity.

We let some very useful players slip away for virtually nothing, particularly under McCarthy, due to his ignorance in terms of imbedding youth players. So, very much credit to Lambert on that front.
