Interesting that Bruno caveated the Neves nomination with "for now". If he is the chosen one, perhaps it's purely down to if/when the contract is signed.

Max Kilman also got a mention. As did thr fact he is shy which isn't exactly what you need from a captain on the pitch. I think Nathan Collins seems far more vocal and the natural fit to step into the Coady void.

I think by mentioning Kilman it was more about giving him responsibility and being more vocal in defence, just something for him to build on. It’s quite clearly going to be Neves.

Not all captains need to be your face or a larger then life personality.

As I’ve said before we don’t know the dynamics of the dressing room.
