Forest have appointed Chris Hughton as their new manager. A very good manager for the Championship. If they give him time and support I think Forest could be another old name returning to the top division.

Sure he’s a nice guy but the football his Brighton team was dull as anything.

I noticed that Barnsley’s manager Struber has gone to NY Red Bulls, isn’t that Kevin Thelwells new club?

It hasn't taken long for the managerial merry go round to start.

Good luck to him, always thought he was a great and committed player in his day.

Good manager. Gets the very most of what he has at his disposal at any club he's in charge of.
Nice guy, talks sense, a realist.
There were times over the last decade I'd have given anything to have him as manager over some of the dross we employed.
Forest fans will be happy with this appointment.

Talking to Brighton fans in his last season there they couldn't wait to get rid of him, then the season after he'd gone how much more enjoyable the footie was.

I said to my wife when Forest lost their last game that they would fire him

Glad to see Chris Hughton back.

He has apparently turned down a number of decent manager jobs since he left Brighton and must think the job at Forest is a good one.

Good luck to him.

Lamouchi had completely lost the plot.

Brighton played terrible football under him. Forest are welcome

Has Brighton’s league position improved since Graham Potter replaced him?

They may play a bit better football now but Hughton kept them in the Premier League.

Good luck to him and Forest. Be good to see them back in the Premier League, moreso than the likes of Fulham and Palarse.

Hughton spent £120m on 26 players over his five years there.

Potter has spent £65m in short time but has improved what he inherited and the wages per point are impressive.

Cannot stand the club and look forward to them imploding some day.

It is a good appointment and Hughton is a good manager, I’d have taken him here before Nuno arrived. ...

Anyway a really good appointment and I imagine Forest will be right in the promotion race with him in charge.

Funny how fans see things differently (it is a forum after all), but apart from coming across as a thoroughly decent bloke he's an attrocious manager. Brought a load of dross at Brighton, played dire football and the fans couldnt wait for him to go. Hes one of those old school managers where they havent evolved, his teams still play 1990's football
