Just been informed Steve Smith, big Wolves fan and ex employee of Wolves of approx 20 years has passed away this evening
Steve was a likeable lad who helped around the club.
Shocked is an understatement, he was about 50 years old
Thought and Prayers to his family and friends
God Bless you Steve

Not sure I knew Steve but that is desperately sad news and no age. Thoughts with his family, yet again a timely and unfortunate reminder that puts things into perspective.

RIP Steve.

Steve was a great lad and always extremely helpful.

I remember one time when he saw us having to carry heavy boxes of cards up the stairs to the upper Steve Bull stand, he took it upon him self to go and get the keys to the upper turnstile entrances opened for us, these were on the level we needed.

RIP to Steve and sincere condolences to his sister and the rest of his family.

Just come across this online:

https://www.gofundme.com/in-memory-of-steve-smith-aka-smithy

Once saw the photo realise I definitely knew him. One of those faces I used to always see as a kid in the mid 90s being in the family enclosure near the tunnel then more recently in around the hatherton selling the lotto tickets etc.

Good to see Bully, Batth, Craddock etc donating in that page.

Likewise, he is a familiar face at Molineux but never spoken to him.
So sad though, somany people seem to be passing away in the 50s these days.
I seriously reckon the stress of watching Wolves contributes to it.
RIP Smithy

I saw him around on many occasions but I didn't know him personally. It's nice to see that they've raised a few quid for him.

As many others who have followed Wolves as I have I've seen at the Molineux many times. Very sad to die so young and good that the money has been raised.

Very sad. To be a Wolves fan and a club employee is a wonderful thing - such a shame to be cut short at an early age.

How very sad reading some of the comments from some of the people who have donated, despite the roller-coaster season the wolves family is still strong. Thank you for your service to our great club. RIP.
